Excellent service and attention from all staff. Just as a honest review, rooms seems to be as good as the pictures but they are not. It is understandable that is the historic building layout that don’t permit doing something crazy but just be aware that rooms are small that it looks, specially bathroom (shower area). And pillos need improvement and provide better ones (orthopedic and supportive) and usually, should be at least 4 per each bed.

19th century hotel, interior nicely improved to modern standards. Room was not large but fine for 2. We got “upgraded” to a quiet room on 2nd floor. This was a laughable upgrade. The window overlooked a light well that was illuminated all night. No window shade. Was lucky to have my blindfold.

Overall, a good hotel in a great central location — very convenient for exploring the city. However, a few downsides impacted the experience. There was no on-site parking, and I ended up having to park under the nearby train station, which was quite expensive. The Wi-Fi password provided didn’t work initially, and the shampoo bottles in the room were empty. On the bright side, the staff were friendly and responsive — they addressed the Wi-Fi and amenities issue promptly, but unfortunately, there wasn’t much they could do about the parking. Good stay overall, but worth noting these points for future guests.

We would come back!

The front desk staff was so nice and very helpful. This was our first visit to Switzerland and they made us feel welcome. The location from the train station made it very easy to get to. There are a large number of attractions and restaurants/bars within a couple minutes. At check in we received a voucher for free public transportation and discounts while in Lucerne.
