Nice property but needs to be updated.

We stayed at the Monterey Hyatt Regency for the Pebble Beach Food and Wine weekend. It’s a touristy place so I didn’t think the accommodations would be spectacular but when it costs over a $1000 for two nights I did expect a little bit more. The lobby and the grounds close to the lobby were nice but the rooms were very outdated and the carpets have to be at least 20 years old, dirty and musty. Our bed was caved in on one side and we did have some bugs in our bathroom. Our patio lead out to the parking lot which plays music but the speakers were all blown so the sound was unpleasant. I also did not like that our building door was propped open both days we were there. The have a keypass on them for safety and privacy so we had to keep closing them after the staff would leave them unlocked. Overall not a great experience and would pass on this property for future visits.

We booked and paid extra for a pool room, expecting the pool shown in the photos. However, we were unaware that there are two pools, and the one near our room is not the one depicted in the listing. This was not made clear at the time of booking. Additionally, while our room faces the pool, the other side faces the freeway, making it quite loud at night and affecting our sleep. We requested a room change at the front desk, but unfortunately, they were unable to locate a better room for us, which has been frustrating.

Great hotel for family visit .

Service , comfort , pool and hot tub , lounge area outstanding . We were assisted very nicely at the front desk to change our rooms as they were very far from the lobby . Loved the evening s’mores and enjoyed the fire pits . Great place for 3 night stay with two small children . Lots of games to play in attractive terrace . Coffee shop very well stocked with fresh and packaged choices

The resort itself was very nice and well maintained. However our stay in the Monterey Suite was disappointing. The room itself was not very clean in the sink and showers.There was sticky/dirty stains in both. Then we found black mold on the shower ceiling the day we were leaving. And when we told the manager she treated it very casually and passively. For what we paid for the room I would have expected a higher standard. I will not be staying here again.

I rated this resort good instead of excellent due to a couple of reasons. The pictures make the ground level patio views to be peace and relaxing when really it's a couple feet of zen but you're looking a parking lot. There is no view of sunset whatsoever. The wall in the bathroom was thin. I could the neighbor's conversation clearly. Luckily, that was the case by the bed. I also chose this resort because of the airport shuttle included. However, I learned at check-in the shuttle doesn't start until 6a so it wasn't helpful to me because I had a 6a flight. But the unlisted amenities were fun (hammocks, extra large chess, cozy fire pits and tabletop fires), staff was nice and the bed was super comfortable.
