Value for money near the train station

From check-in to check-out things went very smoothly. The room was fine and a typical 3-4 star hotel very close to the main train station. Wi-Fi was fast and free, beds comfortable, laminate flooring, coffee machine but we asked for and received a kettle to make tea etc. Mini bar was overpriced and we did not use. Hanging space was ample for a short break. Ventilation and A/C were fine. Breakfast was quite busy on all days and the hotel seems to be used as a stop-over by coach tours etc. Selection of food was good though and the staff were great. Did not visit the pool or gym. Close to the U-bahn station and main station which is undergoing massive refurbishment. As always with main train stations, there was a more 'seedy' side of people in the area, which made us wary, but no problems encountered to be honest. Happy with the choice.

Great value, near the HBH

We planned to spend as much time as possible exploring Munich and surrounding areas during our trip, so we needed a hotel close to the HBH (Maritim is literally a couple of minutes from HBH entrance). We arrived a little before check-in time, but our rooms were ready, and we were allowed to check-in early - which we really appreciated. We were extremely satisfied with the cleanliness of the rooms and comfort of the beds. On future trips to Munich we plan to stay at the Maritim.

There is no choice other then paying for a early check in however this wasnt offered on the day so staff kept us waiting for a few hours before i could have the room. Otherwise its a great location easy transport links and spacious room. I had a family of 2 adults and 2 children.

Had a great stay here. Very conveniently placed 2mins walk from the main train station and about 10min from the old town. Staff very accommodating, and never felt unclean. Just the area surrounding the hotel didnt feel thr safest at times, but theres not really much they could have done about that, just a con of being so close to the station. Overall a great stay, would recommend.

Cracking hotel in the heart of Munich

Really nice hotel, superbly located near the main station and in the heart of Munich city centre. Very competitively priced, with a great sauna & pool to clear your head after too many steins the night before! Highly recommended.

Great hotel, not so great area

The hotel itself is great, and very convenient to the train station, but the area around it was seedy. Once we were a few blocks over toward the old town area we felt much safer.

Easy….

As with any Hotel by the HBF the area feels unsafe for a single woman. But, the Hotel has security in the main foyer overnight. Breakfast is excellent, lication is so convenient to catch the train, fabulous shower, lively touch having welcome chocolate and wee sayings.

Hotel is very convenient for the HBf, and the room was spacious and very clean. Nice bar and restaurant facilities. Initially allocated a room with a bath tub and only a hand shower but was speedily sorted out with a room with proper shower cubicle. Be sure to check what you book

Solo Trip to see Christmas Markets

First let me say, I would go back to this hotel again. It is in a great location for access to trains, stores, u/s bahn and places to eat. The size of the room was great. During my visit the revolving door was broken so you had to use the side lobby door. The room was a great size and the bathroom was nice. Although the waterfall shower leaked onto the bathroom floor no matter how I directed the nozzle. And the pillows were very flat and uncomfortable. That said, the staff was courteous and nice and it was very clean. Even though I did not speak German, they were very helpful and understanding.

Perfect hotel near central station. As in many cities train stations attract junk, drunken people and homeless people. In the hotel is everything perfect. Great breakfast, good beds and nice bathroom. So no complaints about the hotel. Roof top swimming pool.
