Beach was amazing; water was spectacular. Rooms were super clean and comfortable and swimming pools and activities were fun. Buffet was great… we could not get reservations at any of the on-site restaurants...so plan ahead. Drinks were Strong! Staff were super nice. Definitely had a great time. Will be visiting again!

We loved using the Hobie Cats. Bloody Bay was large enough to get the catamaran going at a good clip. The room was cleaned exceptionally well each day. The wait staff in the cafeteria were very attentive. The only negative of our trip was the speciality Italian restaurant the food was cold.

My experience at this resort in Jamaica had both positives and negatives, though the cons stood out more. Starting with the negatives, one of the bartenders at the main lobby bar was extremely rude while I was ordering a drink. She even ended up yelling at me, which led to a heated exchange and ruined my day. In addition, the room had several issues—the bathroom was not working properly, and the toilet wouldn’t flush. Despite maintenance coming three times, it remained faulty, forcing us to manually add water to make it work. The AC also wasn’t functioning, and I heard similar complaints from other guests. The safe in our room was initially broken; maintenance attempted to fix it twice, and it finally worked for the last four days of our six-day stay. On the positive side, a few staff members in different departments were incredibly kind, which helped make up for some of the resort’s shortcomings. Some of the à la carte restaurant options were decent, but the buffet food was repetitive and did not match the price we paid. The beach itself was stunning, though relaxation was often interrupted by persistent vendors offering marijuana, with no intervention from security. Overall, while the resort had some beautiful aspects, the service and maintenance issues significantly impacted the experience.

The dining, bar, and activities Staff were superb - as always! The front desk Staff don't seem to be equipped with the information or resources required to aptly assist guests. This trip, the AC was out, and there was no warning - not prior to the trip or upon registration, not even when we called the front desk to inquire about the air in the room. Even after a bellman informed us, the front desk did not offer a fan for comfort. The next day, when we asked for a fan, we were told there were none available. What we weren't told was that more were being delivered or that as soon as there was a check out one would be provided - just NOTHING. NO AC for 4 of 6 nights...no bueno. The front desk was not helpful at all; there were a lot of shrugs and thrown up hands, but nothing resembling assistance. This AC issue was horribly mismanaged from a communications & service excellence perspective. We expect so much more from the RIU and they fell short this trip.

Housekeeping was hit and miss. Bar service/ room service also hit or miss. No atm on site. Taxi charges $10 USd for a 2 minute drive to atm. Buffet is tired and same every day. Other than that great.

Air conditioner for whole property was not working properly and our room had a leak that was never fixed. Resort is in need of upgrading. Staff was excellent as always and beach is beautiful!
