All the staff and peoples there were so friendly we stayed 7 nights. Lots to do kayak learn to surf and snorkel. Many pools many parties and entertainment! Many bars and fab cocktails. Food all around fresh and delicious! Beaches were clean and water was clear. Only down side was getting up at early to attempt to reserve dinner at one of the fancy restaurants on site 7:55am til 8:05 is your window to try to log on and the process is a pain also. I unfortunately see how that would make many couples have an argument first thing in the morning which is sad. Glad we went with friends they got into dinner some nights and a couple others we did. At the end everything was amazing!

First time to Catalonia Riveria Maya resort it was all we wanted for a first visit. Are newly renovated room was first floor and garden view which was quiet when we needed it and the pool and its activities were entertaining. Food from buffet was really good, yes it had some repeated items, but new additions were added keeping it with a good variety. It was a chore to book ala cart restaurant's but between the app and the concierge was manageable. Drinks were plentiful and cold. I enjoyed my beer while sweeti enjoyed her mojitos Overall wonderfull time.

It is a beautiful property, the vibe is very Mexican compared to other resorts. The beach area and lagoon for snorkeling and swimming is lovely! Staff were all friendly and welcoming. Recommend to book as privelage guests to take advantage of ALL the resorts amenities.

The privileged rooms were really great. We loved the outdoor patio bath, the a la carte restaurants were great. We were disappointed with the lack of washrooms. No real kids pool. And we weren't super impressed by the beach. We hade a great time at this resort

Went with my family (kids under 6) and got a crib as requested prior to my trip. Food is typical for an all inclusive. We were able to schedule dinners at the a la carte restaurants; however, you need to be online right when it opens. Finally the staff were great - they're helpful, keep the resort clean and were always fun. Overall, great place!

I was a little worried coming to this property with some of the reviews I saw, particularly of the beach. This isn’t the nicest beach we have even been to but it was sure the best swimmable beach we have been to. We snorkeled everyday and saw so much sea life and the snorkeling was easy, my 10 and 12 year old had no issues. It is rocky in a lot of the areas so we bought them swim shoes and they worked great and were pretty affordable on site. We did struggle to get reservations at the restaurants so we just stuck with the buffet and snack bar and burger place. The food truck sandwiches were great. The lagoon was very calm and very clear. This was a great vacation for us. We were upgraded to privilege when we got there but you don’t need the upgrade to still have a great time.

Mutilple beaches, a lagoon, several pools. Upgrading to privileged room and services is a must. Room was modern and very clean. Food was good, our favorite was the grill station where they made either, fish, chicken, or pork fresh in front of you. Japanese restaurant and steakhouse were also great. Biggest plus is the fact that the resort is in a gated community which makes things super safe for off resort strolls to the town.

We had a nice relaxing stay here with our two kids (4yo, 18mo). Our room was a little loud, next to a service area/loading dock. Definitely recommend ear plugs just in case. The booking system for reservations at restaurants was pretty frustrating. In 5 nights we could only get in to a restaurant one night. But the buffet was decent, the crepes were awesome, and the sunshine can't be beat.

Very nice facility and nice area. The water was calm and clear..great for snorkeling!! It was rocky in some places though so water shoes of some kind are recommended. The gym was outstanding as far as hotel gyms go. There was a squat rack, smith machine, hip thrust machine, free weights, and plenty of cardio equipment!! It did get busy at some points but there still plenty of options. Only negative I experience was when trying to book a reservation for one of the restaurants, there was almost no chance to get one because they all filled up immediately (I have heard this is common though for other all-inclusives). I did get lucky one night and got a reservation for the Japanese restaurant and holy cow was that awesome! Overall I had a fantastic experience and would love to come back!!
