Fantastic base to explore downtown Reykjavik. We walked to museums, restaurants, and shops. The free parking next to the church across the street was also convenient. I’d stay again!

The staff are extremely friendly and helpful.Very accomodating and act promptly when asked for help. There is also a complimentary tea and coffee at the hotel lobby 24hrs so that is really great after a busy day out in a cold .The hotel room is quite comfortable but can do a bit of improvement like working television to help guest unwind and availability of kettle inside the room .But overall our stay was good and still recommended place to stay.

Location was excellent as was the service. Bathrooms are a little strange with raised floors and no separate shower pan.

Property is quite old and not in amazing condition, but the staff and location are excellent. Fine for a bed for one night but wouldn’t want to stay longer. Quite dark and dingy.

Great location

We had 2 rooms in the main part of the hotel. It was minus 5 putside, big dumps of snow and we struggled to be able to close a window. Overall stay was good. Great location, friendly staff, good breakfast (no cooked option), and rooms were a decent size, although both had 2 single beds.

Great location! The room was quite small- we were visiting Iceland as part of a longer international trip so we had one big suitcase and found it difficult to open it in the room but that really didn’t bother us. It was easy to park across the street and you can walk all around town from the hotel

Good not great but nice!

The stay was fine. This hotels in a great, and very walkable location. The beds, although small, were comfortable and the room was very clean. The bathrooms are tiny! The hot water smell is something to get used to but bearable and honestly not the big of a deal. Waking up to the sound of church bells is quite interesting, felt like it was the town alarm for everyone to wake up for work. Unfortunately, there were renovations taking place below the room which made for very unpleasant wake up drilling and hammering noises. Overall this place was nice, good pricing, and convenient but I wouldn’t stay here again only because I’d like to try other hotel locations that seemed a bit nicer from the outside.

Awful all together, staff are lovely but the hotel needs some serious work! Rooms are like shoe boxes, the water pressure is awful, windows don’t close properly, it is noisy, the doors are impossible to close without slamming, the beds are so springy/bouncy and uncomfortable, pillows are really bad.. the breakfast is nothing special really, there is bread, tiny selection of cheese/overly processed ham, granola, eggs, yogurt and that’s about it. I don’t think there was options for dietary requirements. The location is great, very convenient but that’s the only thing. I could go on, but I would just say save your money and hassle and go elsewhere. I couldn’t sleep for 4 nights and wish we left instead of accepting a new slightly larger room.
