Room was clean and comfortable. Staff were friendly and helpful. Location was fantastic. Really nice area to walk around, with lots of good restaurants nearby. Will for sure stay here again the next time I'm in Salt Lake City.

There is a Hyatt Regency less than 3 blocks away. That's where I thought I was booking my reservation, so I was a little confused when we arrived. This Hyatt House isn't as swanky, but it was great! The staff was especially helpful, the parking was great, and it was in a very convenient location to downtown SLC. At $100/night less than the Regency. So I have no complaints. Great room too.

The staff were excellent. The only thing detracting from the stay was that the bathroom was very cold and there was no way to warm it for a shower. The room was clean and the bed and pillows were extremely comfortable. There was also an extra blanket in the closet, which few hotels seem to provide any more. The hotel is only a short walk from the Salt Palace Convention Center, making it convenient for conference attendees.

I was provided a room on the ground floor next to the street and sidewalk which generated a lot of exterior noise. Unfortunately, on Friday evening the steak house (STK) across the street had outside speakers blasting music so load that I could not get to sleep. When I notified the front desk, she immediately provided a 5th floor room which was above the noise and I slept great. I really appreciate her thoughtfulness and immediate resolution to the situation. I look forward to staying there again, just not on the ground floor. The breakfast food selections were excellent!

The hotel originally booked looked like it rented room by the hour. The website pics were not at all representative of the actual hotel. Upon arrival, the host informed me that I could cancel or move to another hotel. She was very polite and helpful. I went to the other hotel a few miles away. It was not much of an upgrade. The floors throughout the hotel were gross and dirty. Not just from the recent snowfall. It was construction dust EVERYWHERE! They didn’t even bother to try to clean it up. The room itself appeared clean, for the most part. The balcony door/window. Was not sealed and cold air was blowing through it. The main door was not sealed, light was visible around the entire door.

We had a great stay in a corner suite that was reasonably priced, including breakfast (which was quality and changed each day). I appreciated the living room with a sectional couch and bigger refrigerator. Unfortunately the window blinds in our room were electrically raised up and down, and did not work. So we spent the mornings in a mostly dark room because even after we asked the front desk about it, they said there was a remote control to operate them in our room and it was not connected to Bluetooth so they couldn’t make it available to us. Why on earth they would purposefully leave the blinds down without a solution is beyond me. Some of the dishes in the kitchenette were also not clean, the coffee maker had old grounds in it, and so there was some room for improvement. The area around the hotel was super walkable and the location was very convenient. We didn’t get a rental car although we didn’t leave downtown either. I would recommend this hotel but make sure to ask about the blinds when you check in!
