We felt like the property was located in an area that was close to everything we were doing in San Diego during our time there. The hotel was quite noisy, but sometimes you just get next to someone is louder than others overall it was a great location.

I have always wanted to stay here. I was let down. They have high prices do you expect the service to be great. None of the staff smiled or were friendly. In day two I asked them to clean our room and they didn’t. We ate at both restaurants and the food was ok. The area was nice though and I loved how walkable everything was. I just felt like it was mediocre service and food for the price.

The location was superb, with the quiet, private beach, then walk 2 blocks to the ocean to be able to bike, walk the mission beach area. The resort was unique with their bird exhibit of the macaws and having a little arcade near the pool. However, the arcade games were very old, some not working. The food in the restaurant was mediocre for the price, but the servers were outstanding. There was music in the restaurant/bar area on two occasions, one being absolutely amazing with playing guitar and singing a wide variety of songs from different eras and genres. My only complaints are that the sheets were dirty upon our arrival. Nothing worse than pulling back the covers to see make up on the sheets. Also, no microwave in the rooms. When you are on vacation, you often bring back left overs to put in the fridge, but then there was no way to warm them up to eat them. Felt very wasteful.

Positive: location on the bay was very nice. Walkable and lots of amenities nearby. Lobby and outdoor areas were also very nice. Negative: Did not get the room we reserved. Room was not properly refreshed for our second night, not really cleaned or tidied, no additional coffee etc. Hallway carpet was in bad need of cleaning.

The tower rooms are very outdated and elevator is very old and super loud next to rooms. The couch was dirty and should have been thrown out years ago. The staff was great and food was very good.
