So many illegals and they are loud, rude and messy. The kitchen ovens only have 2 burners that work on 2 stoves so the tribes will us both stove tops at the same time ,there meals takes hours to cook. Then the employees are cooking in the same kitchen which means I had to wait even more. The illegals are long term and the employees should have a separate kitchen somewhere else. I saw an old man living there who has been there for five years he can barely walk he should be in a senior home. Teach your foreign front desk employees hospitality mean being nice to the guest. So many dirty dishes left in the sink lazy .

Hostel is clean and very affordable . Free breakfast . During my last stay , three people from the front desk were extremely RUDE and aggressive . They thought I was Homeless lol . They think each guest is poor , homeless and can’t afford a hotel room . Definitely staying away from this place . Their rudeness is not appreciated. Thank you.

Was really hard to get in to the kitchen to make meals. Aggressive dudes with very hot pans monopolized the kitchen each night. Always felt like I had to duck to get out of the way. Room and the bathroom were very clean. Front desk staff were decent. The manager is unbelievably rude. Out on the street things are dirty and chaotic. You'll easily get your fill of street people here - "for a lifetime".

Stayed in a private 1-bed room. Very clean, nice towels in the bathroom and comfortable bed. Make your own breakfast was good. I would definitely consider staying here again.

Overall it was a good experience. Met good people. Staff is friendly. Breakfast was a bonus, waffles are great, but there are other healthier choices. If you are not gluten free, you gotta try the waffles at least once. My room was off the main street O’Farrell and it can be noisy at late night for a short period.

Even tho I only stayed one night due an issue with an another hostel, I had 0 issue with the staff and room, tho I wished it had an A/C. That would be my 1 outta 2 complaints. Other than that great place and breakfast availability. Hands down would book again. My 2nd complaint would the area, only at night you have to be careful but that’s it no other complaint.
