We had a wonderful stay at this lovely place near the river. The location was peaceful and offered beautiful views, making it a perfect spot to relax. One of the highlights was watching the freighters and other boats pass by—it was surprisingly fun and added a unique touch to our visit. We found ourselves frequently checking the marine traffic app to see when the next vessel would come through, which made the experience even more enjoyable. Highly recommended for anyone who loves being close to the water and watching river traffic!

1st Sault stay

Everything was as described. Freighters were frequent and fun to watch (down load Marine Traffic app.) Town was close and plenty of choices to eat. Great time was had.

Watching the freighters go by…

Excellent house on the St Mary’s River, saw many freighters go by. Location is excellent as it is close to downtown also for great restaurants and the locks. Spotless house, well-cared for. Would like to return again.host is very good at communicating.Highly recommend.

Our stay was way too short!! One week was not enough!!If you're a Boatnerd you'll love watching all the Lake Freighters, Coast Guard Vessels and others going by. The house was well equipped for cooking in and the beds and living areas very comfortable. The Soo Locks are less than 4 miles away as is the shopping district for souvenirs and a cup of your favorite coffee or a meal. Thanks for the privilege of staying in this beautiful home.

A place by the water

The host was gracious and had great communication. The place was clean and spacious. We needed salt for the sidewalk and extra toilet paper but they were both easy to locate in the hall closet and cupboards. Thank you for the sticker and postcard gifts!

Cozy, Comfortable, Clean w/ Amazing Views - we loved it here!

What a cozy lil house with fantastic river views, right out the living room window! Within minutes of getting there we were greeted with a huge freighter going by. We loved the big comfy couch and huge TV. Everything was very clean and well-kept. The owners were great, with good communication and allowed us to check in a little early. They had all the fresh snow cleaned up on walkways before we arrived. Very convenient location to town, on a beautiful large lot right on the river. We would love to come back and experience this place in the summer!

This was what I had hoped for...a respite. The cottage was nice, the freighters magnificent, and I was rejuvinated. It was over new year's and doing puzzles and watching out the window was just what I needed. Great for my small dogs and sister.m.m.

Family Thanksgiving weekend

Our daughter attends LSSU so we came to her for the long holiday weekend. Darlene and Jim's place was perfect for our family of 4 and offered all that we needed. We cooked a few meals in the kitchen, enjoyed boat watching out the living room window and enjoyed watching the Thanksgiving football games on the large TV. A big convenience was having the washer and dryer which allowed us to return home with clean cloths. Communication was great! We got a LOT of snow during our stay and Jim did a fantastic job of ensuring the driveway and paths were clear during our stay. I believe on one of the days we battled the snow three times. We greatly enjoyed our stay and would certainly return again!
