Bad stay

The hotel was under major renovation and if I had known that I would have picked another hotel . No ice on any floor had to go to front desk for ice and wasn’t able to get it all the time . Room had two queen beds ac unit was right next to bed so air didn’t circulate. Blinds pulley was on wrong side you had to climb over the bed just to close the blinds because there was not enough room to go between the bed and ac unit . Hotel should have let people know it was under renovation so they had the choice to go elsewhere. I have been to lots of holiday inns around the states and this was by far the worst .

Despite being under construction, our room was spacious and newly renovated and the front desk staff were very friendly and went over and above to make us feel welcomed. I would have appreciated knowing that the hotel was under renovation before booking, but it wasn't disclosed until afterwards and by then it was too late. But even so, we had a nice time.

Overall great stay.

They were currently renovating. So positive notes rooms are newly remodeled, clean, comfortable beds, pool and hot tub are good sized. They offer buffet breakfast. Heard renovating will be complete in a month so a little messy getting to the elevator and pool but didn't alter our stay of being great. Staff were all super friendly and helpful as the ice machines are down also but they didn't hesitate to get some from the kitchen for me.

Great place - one main caveat

The room had just been refurbished so there was a strong odor of new carpeting, adhesive, paint etc. Running the fan helped but the first night was a bit unpleasant. I appreciated handicap adaptations. However, the placement of the microwave oven at such a high level above the beverage station I think in inconvenient ( hard to read control panel, hard to reach into interior) and poses a liability matter. A guest with an issue such as an essential tremor or arthritis in the hands and shoulders would have a difficult or impossible ability to grasp and control a hot item (such as a beverage) while attempting to remove it from the oven. And a short person probably wouldnt be able to use it at all.

Great Shower

Amazing! For the first time ever, a hotel actually cared about their guests by providing a decent shower. There was plenty of pressure and I didn't have to slouch. They are doing construction, but it didn't really have an effect on our stay.
