The hotel is great, clean and well located. The only issue I had was in the hotel's restaurant. The restaurant was empty when I went there with my mom and there were three employees only talking with each other for all the 15 minutes I spent there waiting. None of them didn't even care to come and ask anything, I found it really disrespectful and just left to find some place to eat in the city.

Nice view but uncomfortable bed

Typical conference hotel without any particular character. Superior room had great views overlooking the oceanfront but the bed was uncomfortable (squeaky and way too firm) and there was a smell from the bathroom - and I found long ginger hears in one of the chairs. Not delicate.

The location of this hotel is the best part with the hotel. However the hotel is getting old and the ventilation is very bad, extremly stuffy and no air in the rooms. No in room safe and very basic room over all. However the breakfast was nice and easy parking. The staff was not very charmig and the check out time is already at 11:00. If you ask for a late check out they will charge you 100DKK/hour. So bottomline is that there are better hotels to stay at in Sønderborg.

Restaurant not an option .

Checked in swiftly . Then asked what time last orders for the kitchen were . I was told in a sterling manner that the restaurant was FULL. As was a resident surely they could accommodate a single traveler . NO . I asked to speak with the manager and was told there wasn’t one. Terrible customer service was experienced. Therefore I was made to walk into town and find an alternative place for dinner . After my walk and dinner I came back to the bar for a night cap. There is no full time bar person . It is run by the staff who wait tables . Therefore when you do require a drink you have to go and find someone to serve you . The rooms are old and need upgrading . Breakfast was okay but nothing to write home about .

Beliggenheden er både central og rolig med en fantastisk udsigt over vandet med Flensborg Fjord i det fjerne. Vi blev opgraderet til et af de dejlige værelser på øverste etage. Personalet er særdeles venligt og imødekommende. Man skal dog huske at bestille bord, hvis man vil spise aftensmad på hotellet.
