Worst of the Embassy Suites… Wouldn’t stay here

The room smelled disgusting. Chemicals to mask the lack of cleaning which made it awful to sleep in. Couldn’t change rooms due to capacity. Carpet had stains all over it in multiple places. Fridge had rust on the inside. Bathroom tile not grouted, shower door was broken, metal piece protruding off the bottom, and the shower head hasn’t been cleaned in a long time. Patch painting completed but a totally different color. The walls had splatter on them in multiple areas, can only imagine what that was. Fact is they don’t clean and care is minimal. One positive thing I would say is their morning breakfast crew was great.

The hotel aesthetics were beautiful. The room was a decent size and spacious bathroom. None smoking and clean. The proximity to the mall was great, an outdoor walk but short nonetheless. The staff could be a bit friendlier, but no one was rude. Excellent parking available. However, I'm unclear on the necessity for the parking pass of writing in BOLD marker the date of checkout to be placed on my dashboard - that sounds like a safety issue. other than that, an uneventful stay.

The hotel is very nice , staff was great, happy hour is a nice touch and it was extremely clean. The downfall was walking down the hallway to our room and viewing a group on our floor who were throwing their dirty towels and food outside of their doors in the halls the entire day and morning. We then had someone who had a dog next door who would not stop barking and it was extremely frustrating. I believe they left the dog by itself several times which should never be allowed. I also feel we shouldn't have been put next to someone w a dog where there was an adjoining door. Was NOT happy about this.

We were happy one of our 2 rooms were open. Very fast easy check in but had to wait till after 4 pm for our other room. Easy walk to the bridge to the mall. Nice room. Gorgeous view but had a strange smell. Not the cleanest. For how much the rooms are. Stains on the couches and chairs. But over all it's not bad for downtown Syracuse. We booked it for the pool, view and the location so for that well was good. However pool was packed! Tons of unsupervised kids screamed. Too much chlorine in the pool! Oh and be prepared. I had to pay a $345 room deposit! So. That's crazy. However I was told we will get it all back. We'll see. Idk. Prob won't be back to be honest. Too loud and crazy. Kids running the hall knocking on the doors. Idk where the workers are?

Rooms uncomfortable.

While my overall impression of the hotel was okay I had a few issues with the room. Lighting was a problem. No ceiling lights in the bedroom and thus difficult to see into the closet. To switch on the bedside lights you have to sit up and reach up. They are mounted about 1.5m over the floor. Room service was hit and miss. One morning the blanket was thrown across the bed but not made properly. Used glasses were only replaced after three days.
