Great stay for an overnight to Tuscon

Spur of the moment trip with friends from Phoenix. The hotel is nestled in the side of a mountain. Dinner at the restaurant was good. The room was a little dated but overall was comfortable and quiet.

Solid weekend stay

Overall the trip was good. We were there for a couples weekend for my wifes birthday. To be honest we had a little higher expecation based on Loews' reputation and price of the stay. The service was a bit slow. The walk way for outdoor rooms a bit dated and the amendites could have been more robust. Items we did like was the balcony with a great view and a soak tub.

Staff was very helpful.

We were assigned to a room that was under renovation. No towel bars or hooks in the bathroom. We were relocated after day #! to a nice room but it was inconvenient to move in the middle of our stay.

I grew up here. Always a gem to be in the foothills. This trip staff was not up to par. Reception desk ignore that I had a young child with me. But took care of the pet. I had to seek and find treats for her like the activity book and fish food. Ignored my late check in and Lost my food credit. Dining Breakfast was disappointing along with the service. The pool service and food was the best and room service was great.

Beautiful facility. Rooms, pools, gym are all top notch. We golfed the Canyon course, which was well conditioned but I did not like the very long distances between holes (including a need to mix with live traffic) and the slow pace of play that went unchecked.

The staff was amazing. From the front desk, waitresses, to the room attendants everyone was friendly, helpful, and courteous. The tennis courts are great. Lots to walk around and do. Finally, the dining options are great.

Got a king suite and was extremely disappointed, called ahead and spoke with someone at the front desk to have wine and some food at the room upon our arrival for a surprise and although they said they could accommodate the request no such accommodation was made. Also arrived to the room and there was not a single sheet of toilet paper in the room. Usually have a great experience at this property but this time was different. But luck next time I guess.

Staff is very friendly. Hotel needs a big change lift. Food is ok, the rooms are nice but bathroom is outdated and showers are unsafe. Also there was a terrible pluming noise that woke us up in the middle of the night.
