The hotel is old and dated. It was clean. Great location and nice view of the canal. The rooms are tiny and plugs are not at the bedside. The carpets smelt damp all the time. Good breakfast but no vegan options.

This hotel is in a fantastic location in Venice. Our room had a large and comfortable king sized bed and overlooked a canal with gondolas coming and going! The bathroom was large and all amenities were very clean. It’s located right next to St Mark’s square, a fantastic tourist attraction, where you can find museums and shopping. It’s also located super close to great food and drinks. I will say, don’t expect strong air conditioning (temperatures are high in the summer months), as the entire building stays at a unified temperature. Staff was helpful by providing a fan, but don’t expect to be able to adjust your room temperature. This is pretty common across many hotels in the area, so I would do your research if it’s important to you or go with an air bnb to be sure.

The location is excellent and the refurbished parts are very good - however, the hotel was listed as completely refurbished- it is not. The bathroom we had was awful, many cracks through the sink, the bath had been coated with something that was all peeling off, so it would be impossible for it to be clean, generally not fit for use. The porter that took our cases in, was unfriendly & gave us the incorrect door code, so we couldn’t get in! We were moved when I told reception staff about our issue, but to a smaller room ( not what we booked). The shower in the new bathroom didn’t work at all the first morning. The kettle we were given (after asking for one) arrived with no tea/coffee etc & didn’t work. Although advertised as having WIFI- there wasn’t any anywhere in the hotel, so we incurred unexpected roaming costs. On checkout day, we paid our bill & were asked to get our cases from the 4th floor- there is only 1 lift, servicing all of the rooms & it is painfully slow to arrive! We rode to the 4th floor, got to our room & couldn’t get in, we went back to reception - to the same unhelpful man, who informed us it’s because it’s after 11- (11.05!) even though he told us to go & get our bags!!! This was our 6th trip to Venice, we love it there- but sadly this hotel didn’t live up to the other hotels we have previously stayed in.

It was exactly where we wanted to be behind the Doges Palace on the canal. We wanted true Italian elegance and while this hotel reached for it I feel it didn't quite hit the mark as the room was a bit faceless and not the Renaissance wonder we had hoped for

The hotel is situated in a great location , walking distance to the main attractions and the view from the breakfast area and the little balconies , amazing adding to the hotel . Staff were really nice and polite, we felt really welcome.

We had a nice stay at this property. It is in a great central location just a few steps from Piazza San Marco. The double room with canal view was very spacious and clean. They provided complimentary water and a few toiletries. There was also a minibar available in the room stocked with additional waters, juice and beer. Breakfast was simple but convenient. Staff was friendly and helpful. Overall I would definitely recommend this hotel.

This was our first stay in Venice and our view from our windows was amazing. Location is great, especially if your excursions are close to St. Mark's Square as it's a quick 2-minute walk from the hotel. Staff is nice and accommodating. My only suggestion is that if you ask the staff for a food recommendation and they walk you down to a place called Ristorante San Gallo, don't eat there. I had sand in each of my clams, and my husband was picking out multiple bones from his salmon gnocchi. I'm sure that they have other great dishes, but if you want seafood, I recommend you go somewhere else. Other than that, this place is amazing.

Great place, modern. Convenient lication.

Great location. They have some small alcoves where you can sit outside watching the gondaliers picking up guests, while enjoying a nice cocktail from the bar.

First time to stay at the hotel. All is very good except the breakfast . It always has the same selections. I stayed for 6 days and every day is the same choices. The scramble egg always prepared too buttery ! The staff are all nice and room is well kept clean. Location is very convenient to all point of interest.

This property is just steps away from Piazza San Marco. It is well kept and has a great breakfast to get you started in the morning. The rooms were spacious and well kept.
