Older hotel, rooms have been redone but still show some wear. Grounds are nice, as is lobby. Had free hot chocolate packets for kids in lobby with hot cocoa, marshmallows. Great walkability to downtown SLO. Nice pool and spa area, always empty when we were there.

The reason it's 4 stars and not 5 is because the room was noisy. The bathroom ventilation fan which is outside the room is loud and on all the time. I had to sleep with ear plugs. The engineer explained there is no way to turn that off because that is main ventilation for the roll of rooms in that ...
