I had booked a standard room ideally with a sea view. That was not possible as the hotel was full however she advised ...

Nice larger hotel. Parking is a challenge in Ålesund. We were fortunate to find a spot in lot next to hotel (needed to install app and pay (about $26/day) Good location and many good food options in area.
