The hotel met all of our needs. This is an urban location and the room with a queen, twin beds, and bathroom was perfect. The bathroom is well constructed but needs a heavier toilet seat and also, to be professionally cleaned after every guest. The fans are great especially on a rainy, moist day. Since there is no air conditioner, it's nice that the windows open; however, security may be an issue since it seems that nearby residents can climb on their roof tops and walk over and gain entry. The lift does not come to the third floors so this hotel may not be ideal for someone with mobility issues. Our room did not smell like smoke but smoking is going on in such proximity to the hotel that it's smoky on the first level.

In the heart of old Amsterdam! Very clean hotel. We had breakfast included and the breakfast was excellent. The breakfast room was kept immaculately clean. Staff were all very friendly. Easy to walk to many major attractions in the city and close to the Amsterdam Centraal railway station.

Everything went well, and was as we expected it to be. Great location, a smallish room, but in hotels of this vintage that’s what to expect. The fact that there was an elevator was important. The breakfast was above average. We had our window open the whole time to keep the room temp down I believe there is no AC which could be an issue for some in the summer months.
