great stay at the Ibis Amsterdam

The room was clean and comfortable, staff were friendly and helpful, and the location is great, Right next to the train station in the city centre. They also have a locked luggage room if you are arriving early or leaving later in the day.

The location was near Amsterdam Centraal and convenient to get around, accessible to many places for eating, shopping. Hotel provided only towels shampoo and shower gel, and paper cups. No utensils not tissue papers. Iron board is in common area. No mineral water, but tap water is safe to drink so its ok. Two single beds placed side by side are too small for two and too big for one. Beds are quite old, mattresses were dented and soft. Price was rather expensive for the quality. Overall cleanliness is acceptable.

Excellent location - rooms super clean, beds comfortable - breakfast great choice however older lady managing the breakfast check in was rude argumentative and dismissive with something that was not our fault. Definitely shouldn’t be in a customer facing role if she can’t be nice - spoiled our stay.

Looks nice from the outside, rooms are very dated and used , found hairs on the bedsheets , the shower was grimy and full of limescale , also the room is tiny have to sit sideways to use the toilet and even then your knees are touching , didn’t feel clean even though it’s right by centraal I wont stay here again

The young, energetic staff always seemed freindly & eager to help out. Housekeeping was right on point. The poximity to the main train station is a big plus for me as I have limited mobility. It is literally a 100 yard walk from the train from Schipol to the lobby of the hotel. One suggestion, coffee makers in the rooms please.
