Lovely historic hotel that felt more like visiting a long lost relatives mansion. Service was outstanding and was greeted with a lovely table top cook book from the hotels famous restaurant. If you like modern feeling hotels is your thing, this is not your hotel. But if you want to feel like you stepped into a historic and luxurious southern mansion that’s perfectly located in Charleston, this hotel is for you. Would definitely book again.

We loved our stay at Planters Inn! Could not be in a better location— so central with tons of restaurants and shopping close by. Our room was totally soundproof, no noise from outside even on a Friday night. Room was clean and comfortable, and the staff were great! We’d love to stay again!

The staff was amazing, our hotel room was much larger than anticipated. It felt like a southern apartment instead of a small hotel room. We were greeted with wine when we arrived, the hotel accommodated us with a late checkout even though they were fully booked. We will definitely come back!

Mike, who welcomed us and took care of our bags and care, was excellant. Not only were we greeted witha smile, when asked about walkable retaurants, he hit it out of the park with his suggestions. Excellent way to start our stay!
