Canadian Tourists Review : Attracted by staying in one of the biggest and most unique hotel complex in the world, we decided to stay at the InterContinental Chengdu Global Centre by IHG. We wanted a unique view overlooking the water park with a terrace. The rooms / hallways were spacious and cozy. Special note to how quiet the hotel was since there were thick, well maintained carpets everywhere. Right when we entered the reception, we were welcomed by an English / French speaking Service Attendant / Butler that helped us get familiar with the complex and made sure she was reachable at all times over chat. The complex location itself is near some of the most amazing night time locations all within walking distance! You will be amazed by the engineering and modern design of the parks, shops and landmarks. As for the hotel itself, she is a grand attraction with lots of charm and comfort, but is also starting to show her age. We enjoyed our stay and appreciated visiting the marvel in architecture.

Forced to upgrade just to get a non-smoking room

Requested a non-smoking room, but the hotel said they didn't have any more non-smoking rooms for our reserved room type. As a result, we were forced to pay extra to upgrade our room just so we can get a non-smoking room.

Huge hotel inside a great mall

Large elegant room. All rooms are terrace style inside an enclosed giant mall. The mall has supermarkets, water parks, amusement park and shopping. Excellent food. Weekend BBQ buffet has a roast lamb.

the location is great and the building is amazing, right in front of water park, great for family vacation. the Lobby is super fancy with huge Christmas tree and coach. food is good as well.
