Fantastic Hotel

Hotel was in easy reach from train station. Quiet location. Staff were friendly and helpful, coffee and tea on tap at any time. Hotel was very clean and had a nice atmosphere to it. Room was lovely, good size , bed was very comfortable. Iron/board in room, fridge and safe also. Shampoo conditioner and body wash all in room along with a hairdryer. Definitely will be coming back for another stay.

Business Trip to Edinburgh

Great facilities at Yotel, includes a well equipped gym, great shower and comfortable bed. Some of the decor was being redecorated/updated and so in places looked a little tatty. Otherwise a great place to stay.

Not for me at all

The staff are great. The hotel does not meet my requirements or standards. It looks nice aesthetically but lacks practicalities. There's a cooler but it's not a refrigerator which is absolutely useless. The bed looked and felt more like a hospital bed. The mattress protector is loud (plastic which is bizarre) and uncomfortable. It felt more like a youth hostel than a hotel. The breakfast had variety but the hot breakfast was actually cold. Won't be returning.

Nice minimalist type room, didn't like that the toilet and shower were right by the bed and the fridge didn't work. But everything else was great, staff are super friendly.

Not bad…but could be improved for privacy

It was a great stay. But a couple of things about our king room which I found a bit weird, was weird….1. No window and 2. For a family room, no privacy for changing out the shower etc. a sliding door for the bathroom area would solve this. Comfy bed, can’t complain about anything else

Not great - poor service

A very disappointing stay. No record of VIP Free Room Upgrade, was given 2 free drink vouchers instead bot not the 20% off voucher etc, Door on room would not lock. Room was not serviced on second day - I was later up and had do not disturb on - as I left for the day I put room ready for 'Go' returned at 5 to find wet towels, bed unmade etc. Called reception and they said its recorded as do not disturb. I explained that it was whilst i was sleeping but changed it as I left, as you would do. Was asked if i needed anything and I asked for Towels. waited an hour before going for dinner and no towels arrived, returned late and no towels left. Informed reception in the morning of the door lock and the towel situation - was told sorry! This hotel wasn't a patch on the Yotel at London City - will not stay again. Return work stated at 7.30 am on second floor unacceptable

This was my second stay at this hotel. The first time I stayed the room was freezing cold and I had to sleep with a hat and coat on as they didn't have another room to offer. I thought it was a simple fault but this time the room was very cold too. The air conditioning wasn't working properly. There was no heating. Just a constant cold breeze! Also I asked them VIP upgrade while they have available rooms on Expedia and they rejected by saying there are no rooms available.

It would have been good to have a kettle and tea/coffee making facilities in the room. There was painting works going on during our visit but, this didn't really cause too much inconvenience. Just difficult to juggle 2 coffees in the lift.
