Great hotel. Close to Waikiki Beach and Diamondhead SP. Room was clean. Hotel has a Concierge for easy your planning. Restaurant is a bit expensive but that's Hawaii. Love the bar. Bathroom was clean but could use some updates. Took a star off for lack of onsite parking. Valet is come first, serve first. Once parking is at capacity, patrons have to look elsewhere.

Staying at Queen Kapiolani Hotel was an absolute dream! This hotel perfectly captures the vintage Hawaiian charm while offering modern comforts and breathtaking views. From the moment I arrived, I was welcomed with warm aloha spirit by the friendly and attentive staff, who made sure every detail of my stay was perfect. The highlight? The unbeatable location! Just steps from Waikiki Beach, I could easily enjoy the sun, sand, and surf. Plus, the hotel is close to Diamond Head, local markets, and fantastic restaurants, making it easy to explore Honolulu. The open-air lobby and stunning ocean and Diamond Head views from the rooms and pool deck were absolutely breathtaking. The rooftop restaurant and bar were also a delight—great food, refreshing drinks, and the most incredible sunset views! If you’re looking for a chic, comfortable, and perfectly located hotel in Waikiki, Queen Kapiolani is the place to be. I can’t wait to come back! Highly recommended!

Perfect Stay!

The Queen Kapiolani is in a great location! About a block to the beach, across from the zoo, and around the corner from EVERYTHING! Just park and walk! We were upgraded to a view of Diamond Head and it was breath taking waking up to the sunrise coming up from behind a majestic volcano! The service was great! Very professional, kind, and welcoming. The room was a suite with a kitchenette and even though our stay was short, it was needed for the snacks and drinks we brought for our adventures to Hanauma Bay the next morning. We took a peel at the Deck and the pool area. We didn’t get a chance to enjoy them but definitely will next time as they looked great! The room was clean, the lobby was clean and very nice, and I appreciated how everyone was just smiling and so nice to us. I’m a Hotels.com Gold and I felt like I got a great value from booking through Hotels.com but enjoyed how in sync they are with the hotel as that doesn’t always happen. It made me feel like I could enjoy the benefit of my loyalty. And it also reassured my trust in the brand. The little perks are literally everything. I really valued the discount on the parking too. It helped make it a little more affordable. All in all a great stay and I’d love to revisit!

History and views

This is a wonderful older hotel next to Queen Kapiolani Park on the quiet end of Waikiki beach. Lots of surfing memorabilia, portraits of Hawaii’s and great view of ocean and Diamond Head. Only negative is the number of birds around the tables in the outdoor portion of the restaurant.

Great stay eventually

We’ve stayed here dozens of times and always satisfied. This time, upon arrival in our room, there were multiple items needing attention. After calling the front desk, all items were addressed, it took several hours. When I told the manager about this experience, he immediately offered some compensation. I will return. The location on Waikiki can’t be beat.

Overall an excellent location and property. Best unobstructed view of diamond head and partial ocean. Great happy hour specials and pool access. Gym is clean and has all essential equipment. Morning coffee and pastries conveniently located at coffee shop on lobby level. Great staff and friendly genuine service

The views on the hotel website are real

The staff is so friendly and helpful. The views are stunning. It is nice to be on the quiet end of Waikiki facing the beautiful park. There is still street noise in the late evening, but that is everywhere in Waikiki I think. Overall, a wonderful stay!
