This is a mandarin oriental, but i felt the rooms are showing their age. The shared restaurant and swim facilities are excellent. The team there are excellent as well. The rooms we had for our five of us, three kids, was huge and super confortable, with small maids kitchen with washer dryer and sitting room and excellent views. Id love to stay longer there as a base for seeing the city. However, I did feel the rooms need renovation and updates to carry the MO name. Wallpaper was peeling off in some places. The furnishings need updates and the washer dryer leaked badly into the kitchen. Id definitely stay again, but just understand its not a 5 star hong kong MO.

The Mandarin Oriental sits beside the Petronas Towers in KL. The hotel is large and welcoming, the staff very pleasant and attentive. The hotel is right beside the mall and close to other hotels in the CBD making it an ideal stay. Highly recommended hotel in KL

We first stayed at Mandarin Oriental thirteen and a half years ago. The staff, service and pool area which overlooks the KLCC gardens remain flawless. Our two bedroom apartment had stunning views of the Petronas Towers and was huge with a full kitchen (oven, stove top, full fridge with freezer), two bathrooms, two walk-in-wardrobes and a seperate living area. However, the apartment’s furnishing are old and overdue for refurbishment - they are exactly as they were 13.5 years ago just more worn and tired. Given the age of the furnishings and fit out, there not universal power outlets and the hotel only provides two adapters. It appears from photos that other rooms have been refurbished - hopefully the apartments will be very soon.

If you looking for a quiet place, that’s not best option, soundproofing is not work in the night time, still can hear noises around 1am, everything else is good

We absolutely loved everything about this hotel. The service was exceptional, better than many other 5-star hotels we’ve experienced. It was an amazing stay, and we highly recommend this hotel to anyone.

Excellent stay

Brilliant stay at this MO property in KL. We stayed in an Exec level room, which was a great choice. The room was very well appointed and spacious. Housekeeping did a fantastic job of keeping things tidy. Exceptional service from Daniel in the Exec Lounge - super helpfu and kind giving great recommendations and arranging some excellent dinners. Also great service from the barman in the bar on the ground level. All staff encountered were very professional and provided excellent service. We will absolutely return!
