This is clearly meant to be a young person's hotel. Yes it's all very hip. I was disappointed as I booked my elderly mother in there while visiting, thinking she'd find it fun and enjoy the location. It's a shame they don't have kettles in the rooms, and no nice toiletries as a treat for guests. Of course that's fine, and the whole setup is self-service to save on costs. Unfortunately, if you're older you get ignored. Mum had to go to the lobby and asked to have a cup of tea. They charged her £4 and she went and sat down to wait for it. After 20 minutes nothing had happened so she returned to the counter where they laughed and said she needed to help herself from an urn. Seriously CitizenM? I use this hotel loads, and some of the staff are great. They remember you and go the extra mile. But I wanted Mum to have a good time and she was largely ignored and somewhat baffled by the technology. It left a disappointing taste in the mouth.
