The exterior was shabby. Our Executive Twin Room 408 down a narrow dimly lit corridor and was dimly lit inside with not much natural light. We had a tall narrow window in the corner that didn't open and the wood was rotten and crumbling with black mould on it. The privacy net curtain was dirty. The room was very warm and the air con didn't cool it down despite being set on 16C. The bathroom tap explodes water all over you when you turn it on as it only comes on at full force. The shower ran hot / cold / hot / cold. The staff at checkout and check in were very efficient and friendly.
Business trip 2 nights, room in need of modernisation. Hallway to the room carpets marked and tired deco.
Shower to hot or to cold so unable to use it properly.

Lovely welcoming staff, clean rooms with comfy beds and blackout shutters. Hotel generally needs some repairs (bathroom door didn’t shut, chipped bathtub etc) but would still highly recommend. Adjacent to Hyde park and very close to a tube station.
As we walked into the hotel it looks amazing. They clearly take more pride in what the hotel reception areas look like than the cleanliness of the hallways and rooms. The carpets had more stains than you’d like to think. And the rooms, black mould growing around the ceiling in the bathroom, also on the bathroom tiles. Carpets in the room were also dirty. An extreme amount of mould growing around the window. Don’t let the 4 star rating fool you. The pictures they use to sell the hotel rooms look brilliant, it’s only when you arrive you realise that it’s not as nice as the pictures suggest. I feel like I’ve been catfished.
This hotel is in a beautiful part of London, opposite Kensington Gardens and Hyde Park. The staff are very welcoming and helpful. Our room was very comfortable and clean. Istrongly recommend this hotel.
I have stayed at the Corus Hyde Park a couple of times before but it was pre Covid. As these trips were good, I booked again with confidence and was very disappointed. Staff were lovely and the only good thing about the hotel. The bedroom was freezing, even when we were in bed and had the portable plug in radiator plugged in. It was also so unbelievably noisy and we were consistently woken up all throughout the night (Fitbit recorded 32 times) by the noisy cars outside playing loud music, the toilet flushing in the room next door and people traipsing up and down like they were in wooden clogs on a wooden floor. Regardless of time of night nobody was quiet. Then early morning we were woken by someone with a walkie talkie. I woke up shattered before my two business meetings for the day. It was worse than having a new born baby. The bed was also so hard I felt like my spine was in pieces.
I will never rebook and that makes me sad because it was never like this in the past. Breakfast was mediocre and we went early before the rush, so it wasn’t because it had been there all day.
Went for my birthday get away and was given a great room with a view of Hyde park and a card and box of chocolate for my birthday, thank you I really appreciate it.
