Hoxton hotel review

We loved the hotel. Ticket all the boxes for us. We didn’t take a pic of the bathroom , which is unusual. But it was very nice. No sound of the exhaust but no steam after showering and the tilt of the floor in the showers were just right that the water drained away quickly with no risk of water leaving the shower cubicle.

For the money, just not good enough. This is a great hotel…. Except for the awful we-work community that congregates all day every day in the what is otherwise a lovely lobby. Totally killed my holiday vibe. Felt like I was in a Google office. When I made a comment about that the hotel staff sternly said ‘we are trying to encourage it’. That brings me to the hotel staff - not the best. No going out of their way. Very big apple monitors shield them from their obviously unwanted guests. Contrast the staff of the Hoxton Grill which shares the lobby who were amazing, welcoming, kind. The hotel could take a lesson!

High quality mid-tier hotel. Note it’s on a busy road. Very walkable. Note parking options are exceptionally limited in this part of London. No hotel parking options.

This is a good quality mid-tier hotel with nice staff. Note the location is on a very busy road, not in the ‘character’ streets of Shoreditch. It is, however, completely walkable to everywhere in that part of London.

Hip facility, small but pleasantly decorated room. Functional bathroom. Lobby and restaurants excellent to host a client or friend. Good vibe. The crowd is a bit of the young and anti-social (hurried in their phones) clan, but that's everywhere these days. Fun to sip your drink and observe. I'd stay at the Hoxton at my next trip to London.
