Really surprisingly lovely with an amazing terrace. Location is amazing and staff top tier! Nice complimentary mini bar. Only minor things are we had no mirror near a plug socket and missed having tea or milk for the coffee.

Historic property. Close to so many things -- Tube, Big Ben, Trafalgar Square and so much more. Rooms were well air conditioned. Complimentary snacks and beverages in the room. Great coffee in the room.

Great experience

Staff friendly and efficient. Room air conditioned, so slept better than i have fir a while. Breakfasts buffet was fresh and well stocked, even after 930 in the morning. Table service for tea and coffee was amazing. Really enjoyed our time there.

Sadly this hotel doesnt meet expectations, what we were expecting to be an amazing experience, left us thoroughly disapointed. The room we were put in had no natural light, all the windows obscured, furniture tired and very disappointing. We were moved to another room when we complained, told to go out and come back in a couple of hours and all would be sorted, we returned to be told we had to wait a further half hour, so left it another hour, went back to be told we had to wait another hour, unfortunately we needed to go out to a prebooked event which we had mentioned, so they put us in another room which was even worse and had peeling paintwork was small and had rattling windows, sleep quality was terrible. We have stayed in better places for less money in the city and they had higher standards. I note a lot of the 5 star ratings appear to come from its teas and food which is really good. Sadly not from its accomodation. I had originally looked at the Tower hotel which on reflection i wish i had booked as i would have had a tower Bridge view and a far more superior experience for less. Wouldnt recomend this hotel and we certainly wont return.

We loved our time there! We stayed for 8 days, and it was the perfect location for walking and Tube access. Our room was always clean and cool, and the fully stocked fridge was lovely. We enjoyed drinks on the Terrace, as well as room service; great cocktails and Caesar salad! A wonderful homebase for our honeymoon. BONUSES: the doormen were so courteous and have great advice for navigating the city. The flowers in the lobby always smelled spectacular. So every time you came home from a long walk, you were hit with perfumed air and delightful gentlemen. It felt exactly like what you dreamed London would be.

On the positive side our room was very quiet, however, the room looked into a brick wall 12 feet away. Quite disappointing. There were also many maintenance issues. Safe did not work and we had to call maintenance. On his second visit he replaced the batteries. The TV signal cut out every night at 8:45. We watched shows for 45 minutes every night and never saw the end of the show! Very annoying! Maintenance tried to reset the A/V system but it only lasted 1/2 hour. Cold water tap had a major issue and did not work properly. We opened up the widows to air it out and the window lock fell off. The shower door did not close properly and the floor get quite wet. We were very disappointed in the room for the price we were charged!

The faucet on the bathroom was rusted and needed to be placed. While we were there my husband noticed a mouse in the outdoor dining. We were charged for the security deposit. The picture of the hotel advertised is actually the side of the hotel. It appears nicer on the picture than the actual hotel. The staff were friendly.

This place has been the highlight of traveling the UK. The entire staff (less the one front desk gal that directs you to the consiege on a question she could have answered) makes you feel so welcome. Great location.
