Several of the rooms share a small hallway with an adjoining room, probably so that they can be connected as a larger family suite. We stayed in one of these rooms, and on our second night, the people in the room next to us began to smoke. We informed the front desk and they asked the adjacent guest whether they were smoking. The guest said no, and they took them at their word. The whole hall and room stunk of smoke. The next night when I was sitting in my room, I could literally see the smoke coming under the door and went down to the front desk again. They adjusted our accommodations to a different room, and we had to move out at midnight. On the way up the elevator, the hotel attendant told me that they had experienced trouble with this particular guest in the past. It is clear they are not serious about making the hotel nice. We had a horrible day.

We did not take the breakfast buffet so we cannot review. Everything was great except the bed was too hard and pillows too flat. We actually did not have good night sleep. Needless to say, I loved everything else.

It was perfect, I would stay again in a heartbeat. Beautiful, quiet, and great location. I wish I had gotten his name, but one of the people working overnight in the lobby had noticed it was my birthday and had a box of chocolates left for me at checkout. I’m sure they normally give those out but it was a nice gesture that he recognized me and stopped to say happy birthday.

Had a great stay at this hotel. Staff here are superb. Rooms clean and made up every day with fresh towels etc. Hot food at breakfast not kept warm which is the only issue. Foid and drink not expensive, neither was Madrid as a whole.
