This stay was a mixed bag. First the positives: the room is decent size for the price, bed huge and super comfortable, enormous TV in the room, great air-con. The beach is 5 min walk from the hotel and the beach service was great. The food in the restaurant is really good and very fairly price. Sadly the restaurant opening hours are surprisingly limited. The rooftop is cute and gives you an opportunity for a quiet moment with a view as its barely used, but sadly it also has somewhat of an abandoned vibe
Now to the negatives:
The breakfast was a joke: one scrambled egg, strip of beakon and a few potatoes + drip coffee. A la cart style - which means it takes the staff 20 minutes to deliver this order to you and they manage to get it wrong 2 our of 3 times even though the menu literally has 5 items.
The service in general is mediocre at best. Maria at the bar, who welcomed us on our first day was an exception - fantastic service and great care. Besides her the general vibe was that the property is severely understaffed (one person front of the house on bar and service and one back) and the few staff members who are there really can't care less. Orders are routinely mixed, bills routinely mispriced, staff don't know what's available and what isn't etc. Also, the restaurant is closed for dinner service 2 nights a week and closes early (9:45pm) the other nights.
There are no views from the rooms as the hotel is boxed between buildings, the pool is tiny, cold and barely gets sun.
