Not horrible, not great.

Great location and nice lobby area. The rooms have been remodeled but are showing age in places, specifically the bathrooms. Our first room on floor 14 had a leaking sink (open pipe under sink consistently leaked while water was running). I was going to put up with this but when we went to shower and drain flies (6-8) were coming out, I asked to change rooms. Staff tried to help and after an hour or two they got us another room on floor 12. The new room didn’t have drain flies or a leak but we lost our original view. The second room was directly across from a high rise under construction and had no sunlight or view of the street. There were a few gnats in the new room but overall It was decent. Beds and pillows were very comfortable. Greeters and concierge in the lobby were nice and helpful. Not a horrible stay but I do would I have made a different choice.

The hotel was amazing, the staff were great and super nice, the morning coffee was great as well and the staff at the breakfast area. it was close to time square and not bad to central park, easy to access the main subway we were using and the parking was right next to the hotel too which was great!! the rooms were clean as well, and organized. i will definitely be coming back!!

Property was nice. Rooms were comfortable. I didn’t not love the location. Too close to Times Square for me. But if you’re going to NYC for shows this is an excellent location.

I provided payment details at the time of reservation. Apparently, the hotel had an issue with my card (likely because it was a virtual card from Expedia), but instead of addressing this upfront or contacting me before arrival, they waited until two full hours after the official check-in time to call me. At that point, I was already traveling and about to board a plane. They told me that unless I immediately provided another credit card, my reservation would be canceled. When they called, I didn’t provide a card over the phone. I later called back to follow up, and the staff member’s response was, “well, you should provide a valid card!”—as if the situation were somehow my fault. This attitude was dismissive and unprofessional, especially given that I had booked properly through Expedia. This policy is unreasonable and puts guests in an impossible position. If I hadn’t been reachable at that exact moment, I would have arrived to find my room canceled despite having a confirmed booking. A professional hotel should resolve payment issues proactively and well in advance, not after check-in time when travelers are often in transit and unable to respond. The experience was stressful, poorly handled, and completely avoidable. I would strongly caution others against booking this hotel, especially if you’re traveling and can’t guarantee you’ll be available to take last-minute calls.

Ok for location, rest was not up to standard

Bathroom had strong urine smell, walls were very thin so could hear the neighbors, cleaning staff had a shouting discussion with full on swear words. Social hour nice and red wine was amazing. Location is great and linens were clean, the soap and shampoo very good. Skimpy amenities for a $500 a night hotel room.

The value for the price is simply not there. At over C$500+ per night, this hotel does not meet expectations in terms of service and amenities. I would consider a fair price to be closer to C$300. Simple touches, like offering complimentary water (available at all times) or coffee in the mornings, would go a long way. These are basic amenities that are often standard at hotels of this price range. Additionally, the luggage cart being restricted to Bellmen is a bit perplexing. Guests should have access to it if needed. While these may seem like small details, they can have a big impact on the overall experience.
