A Business Overnight Stay

I am a bit indifferent. Many reviews were negative, but I am glad I read them. The hotel is actually located in two buildings across the street from each other. So when the receptionist said my room was across the street, I was not surprised. The North Tower as they call it, seems like an old office or apartment building. Very small lobby and the clerk that handed me the room key was engrossed in watching a TV show on their phone. The room was small, typical for NYC, and seemed newly renovated and clean. The room was quiet.

Convenient to the subway. No concierge. No restaurant or bar on premises which was indicated on listing. No breakfast which was also advertised. Photos on listing were not representative of actual property. Bathroom was the best feature. Nowhere to sit except on the bed. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone.

Excellent room with a kitchen. Sufficient storage. Great location near 33rd St subway and close to a few restaurants. Staff were very helpful. A few issues which were dealt with promptly. Be aware that check in is one side of the street and our room was the other side, possibly because we had two beds.

Im not one to write bad reviews, but the condition of the hotel needs to be addressed. Leaking roof, walls that were in the middle of repair in the room, dirt and hand prints on every wall, electrical outlets busted open from the wall, unfinished room repairs, and the temperature on the heat and cooling units could not be regulated (had to open windows to cool the room down from excess heat). Had to change rooms due to repairs in our firat room and the second room was only slighty better. It appears to once be a great hotel, but it has been neglected over the years and is not to be compared to other hotels I've stayed in unfortunately.

Overall it was an I okay stay Property is spread between two buildings acrross the street. Rooms are clean but very small. Room was in excess of 90 degrees upson arrival,.although the cooling didnt work.rhe windows do open and the cool outside air.temps brought the room down to a.comfortable temperature
