Not being a visitor to NYC, having the clerks behind plexiglass and a disturbed person in the lobby early am was disconcerting. But room was fine and shuttle available from JFK.

To begin with, I had emailed the hotel asking about early check-in and the response was yes we can accommodate early check-in depending on availability with no mention of any fee. When I arrived the person at the front desk said I would have to pay $50 cash if I wanted to do early check-in, which was never communicated with me through the email. Our hotel room was rundown with a broken mirror, broken wardrobe pole, sticky floor, blinds that barely opened up, funky humidity due to improper ventilation.

The staff - cleaners and driver of the shuttle should all be commended for their efforts to make guests comfortable. The hotel could only be described as a dump. Our room - 210 had broken blinds, decor that has not been updated since the 1960s scratched furniture and uncomfortable beds. In short, it was grimey. Getting to/from the rooms is a challenge if you have luggage, as though there is a small lift from the lobby, it is not operational without staff. Getting to the shuttle at 4 meant lifting 3 large suitcases up the stairs. So AVOID this hotel and Expedia and all other booking sites should remove them until they improve! Oh and I have not even mentioned the noise! Both from other rooms and outside, it makes sleep impossible.

One of the worst hotel experiences of my life. The bathroom was literally taped together. The shower curtain, shoer head and electrical outlet in the bathroom were all taped onto the wall. Then we were charged for a parking pass. When we got back to the hotel at midnight from picking someone up at JFK there were no parking spots available. When we asked we were told to park in the street. When we asked for a refund we were told the if they refunded us our car might get stolen. The next morning I talked to the front counter person about this. Figuring there might have been a language barrier. She apologized and told me she would refund me for the parking pass. She did not refund me. Stay any place else.

Great location 15 min drive from jfk. They also have shuttle available every hour but only takes you to air train station . Hotel and room were ok for the price nothing extra or fancy but ok to sleep in for a night before your flight .
