Disappointing stay despite strong reviews
I chose this hotel based on the high ratings and positive feedback compared to other properties in the area, but my overall experience was poor—mainly due to lack of communication, an unhelpful check-in experience, and the condition of the room.
My issues started before arrival. I received an automated message asking for my check-in time and whether I needed an airport pickup. I replied with the requested information and asked them to arrange airport pickup. After waiting 24 hours with no response, I sent a follow-up message—still no reply. When I arrived at the airport, I tried calling the hotel multiple times and no one answered. I ended up giving up and taking a taxi.
At check-in, I asked about early check-in (as mentioned in my earlier communication), but they had no rooms available. When I asked why no one responded to my messages, the front desk agent’s response was: “we get too many questions.” That was not a reassuring or professional answer. I then had to wait about an hour before getting access to my room.
Unfortunately, the room itself was the biggest disappointment. It felt very outdated and not well maintained. The lights were flickering, and the bathroom had visible mold and rust. I understand many guests spend most of their time outside, but basic cleanliness and upkeep should still meet a minimum standard.
