While pouring rain outside we parked and were being checked in with Kathy. Some other suite tenant ran from the outside cut in front of us and Kathy mie check-in stopped our check in refocused their attention to the tenant that forgot her key card. Then proceeded to say she had to restart because she just lost our details… needs a little more back courtesy and could have told the guest they could wait while she finishes checking us in. We were quite appalled honestly, given we had just arrived and it was pouring and this person had already forgotten their key card and just simply cut in front and the reception woman Kathy mid check in just left us and refocused on this person. Awful customer service.

Hotel was very well taken care of, with friendly staff, breakfast was good and plentiful, room was nice. Did not appreciate that smoking is allowed in sitting area ourdoors, right outside of the hotel. Seems like it should be away from hotel or not at all.

What a beautiful hotel. Great staff. Rooms clean and very roomy. Nice big bathroom . The breakfast was delicious. No complaints. We will definitely stay here next time we visit Shipshawana ❤️

Overall it was a great experience. I have noticed in more than one stay that the rooms were not totally clean. Some time back, I noticed the shower floor had footprints from me walking around the room barefooted. This visit, I noticed the floor felt a little grimmy.

Disappointed in friendliness

The place wasn't as friendly as I thought it would be. Nobody said good morning or good evening as you walked past the front desk. If you went in the side door you were greeted with smoke from the smokers. Overall, it was OK but not worth the price. Shopping was nice and the people there were very friendly. Breakfast was the same thing every day for the 3 days were were there.A little variety wouldn't hurt. The rooms were nice and bed was comfy. Overall, I would shop around town again, but would probably stay near Goshen or South Bend and drive into town.

The town was bursting with fall decorations. So beautiful But the hotel was not, there is a beautiful mantel in lobby but 3 junky items on it and cheap scarecrow sitting in the bush by door. Disappointed by that

This hotel is conviently located to downtown. We had a very comfortable and clean room. We love the pumpkinvine trail for riding our bikes. Breakfast is amazing!!! This is an excellent place to stay.

I feel that if you’re in the hotel business and you walk up to the front door and it’s little with cobwebs and everything else I know it’s this time of year that stuff should be cleaned. You’re outside areas for sitting or dirty. The bathrooms were dirty the hallway bathroom for all your guests to use in the bathrooms and the actual guest room rooms. The room rooms were dirty. The bathrooms are dirty two things that need to be clean to make people feel comfortable. I did not feel comfortable there because I felt it was too dirty for my liking other people may be OK with it, but I was not.

Not the hotel I’d stayed at there before that I was so impressed with. But it was clean and comfortable and it did have an elevator. Breakfast was good. Was just an overnight stop with family.
