I really enjoyed the handy on-site convenience store and onsen. The bar has an amazing view of Tokyo. The staff were very helpful. However, I will say that the room was not as clean as I had expected. Some parts of it were quite dusty and I found a couple of hairs on my bedding that were definitely not mine. However, it didn't bother me too much given how cheap it was.

this APA stands above the rest... i personally love the location because it's close to the Kokugikan and in a quiet area of Tokyo (on the other side of the Sumida river). Not sure i'd recommend this hotel for first timers (or newcomers to Japan) because it's a bit out of the way (not by much) and that may not be your thing.

The hotel is excellent and has a wonderful atmosphere. It’s conveniently located just a 3-5 minute walk from both the subway and JR stations. There are plenty of restaurants to choose from around the JR station area. The hotel and the rooms are very clean and well-equipped with great amenities. There’s even a Lawson right inside the hotel and a relaxing onsen (hot spring) to enjoy. Everything was perfect—I will definitely stay here again next time!
