Terrible experience

My experience at this hotel was terrible. Very unprofessional service and lack of follow up. Upon arrival, I found that the room had not been properly cleaned. There was food from the previous guest in the fridge, the bed sheets were wrinkled and appeared used, and the desk had visible marks from glasses. The front desk attendant confirmed these issues and replaced the bed sheets. She also informed me I would receive a refund for the inconvenience. On Sunday, while showering, the power went out, leaving me in complete darkness. Immediately afterward, the water stopped running entirely, and I was unable to finish my shower. I reported this as well to the front desk, and was told the manager would contact me. As of today, I have not received any communication from the hotel.

Be ready for the hotel to be near some social service housing which means we saw people using on the street close to the hotel. The hotel staff was fine but we booked four people to our room and only received two towels. The site is a retro Miami 1960s vibe. Pretty clean. It’s in a great location and we were grateful to be so close to Granville Island and Stanley Park.

A nice friendly hotel, in a great location. Free car parking because of my Expedia status and free bike rentals for all guests which was really good as Vancouver is a bike friendly city and a great way to explore it.

An Oasis in the City

Worth the money and the location. The fire pit and second floor lounge area in the middle of the hotel provides great access to fresh area and an alternative chill spot.

Cozy but dated

Great location but rooms were a bit smaller than expected and beds are not as comfortable; however for 1 night stay before our cruise, it was great. We were able to walk in downtown and find great places to eat

We reserved 4 rooms with this hotel for our post cruise stay. When we arrived we were told they had reservations for only 2 rooms and 2 rooms were cancelled by Expedia. I did not request cancellations and recved no communication on this from Expedia. Several times the manager insisted the 2 rooms were cancelled by Expedia. Expedia has confirmed to me that was not the case and they were cancelled by The Burrard. Expedia is looking into this. Manager said he had rooms available but would not honor the Expedia rate and wanted $400 per room. We ended up putting 9 people in 2 rooms. He was more than happy to offer a $30 charge for a roll out bed! Thankful it was just a one nite reservation. Service is a low priority for a NY guest with a Vancouver stay. No worry for repeat business. If you trust this place with your reservation you may be stranded.
