We stayed 7 nights and had a wonderful experience. Check-in was a breeze, our room was comfortable and came with many nice amenities, including a snack bar with cold beverages and chips that were replenished daily. The breakfast was superb, with many, many food choices. The location was ideal for walking just about anywhere but also close to the Metro if needed. We appreciated the access to sparkling water in the lobby and the apples and tasty sweet treats in reception to make us feel at home. Without exception, the staff was terrific in offering assistance and ideas for sightseeing.

We had issues with air conditioning (in other words - none) and spoke to the front desk about it. They were extremely patronizing and tried to explain how AC works different in Europe instead of the US. What they didn't realize, is I used to live here, so I was aware, and we had friends staying at the hotel that didn't have any issues. I tried to explain to them the issue (the AC is in the hallway, not the bedroom, and it is pointed at the bathroom) and they told me nothing could be done even though it was cooler outside than in our room. I brought this up to management and they said they'd give us a free night the next time we stayed there. As if that is going to happen - definitely not worth the stay if you have to take a cold shower 3 times a day to get any relief. Thankfully when it became cloudy it was at least manageable. Save yourself the frustration and stay somewhere else.

I was assigned a quiet small but comfortable room in the lower floor facing the back of the building but with good light. The breakfast was superb the staff very attentive and the location was perfect for sightseeing and in one of the most picturesque streets in the city.

This was a very nice hotel with wonderful staff and amenities. The room was small, but very comfortable. The location was great for exploring the city. A major perk was the breakfast offered each morning. It was a beautiful spread of anything you could want to fuel your day. I would definitely stay here again!

Great location

The hotel should list they only have about 6 parking spots. The hotel had wonderful old-world charm, the staff was great! The room could have been better. I understand a lot of Europeans don't use AC but at least have a fan in the room. All hotels should have blackout shades in the 21st century, this was a missed opportunity.

Great boutique hotel at end and more quieter section of Nyhavn area. It had great character, comfortable beds, wonderful breakfast and friendly staff. only issue is they forgot to charge me for my rooms upon check-in so I covered it at checkout. I received a phone call the next day that they forgot to charge me for one night of my room and I had to do that online. Then I got a terse email saying I didn’t pay it online when I had in fact paid and all because they forgot to do the right thing twice. I was slightly annoyed that I didn’t receive a phone call apologizing for the inconvenience. Something they should’ve addressed especially since it was their issue.

Wonderful Stay at the 71 Nyhavn Hotel

This hotel is wonderful. The room was very spacious by Europe standards. The staff was very helpful and the breakfast buffet was top notch. My only complaint is that it isn’t that close to the Metro. Lots of American guests and everyone spoke English.

The location was PERFECT! The hotel breakfast offered in the mornings was delicious and an amazing addition to our trip. We took a water view and although beautiful, our family members without the water view had much larger rooms more suitable for two people and lots of luggage. The bathrooms were large and great for when you are traveling as a couple. Overall would highly recommend this hotel.
