Likes: The room was spacious and clean. We had a king size bed (very comfortable) and it had a seperate sitting area with a pull out couch, tv and desk. The bathroom had a night light which was very nice. The room was clean. Dislikes: A lot of kids running around and sports teams there (no room to sit for breakfast). The cleaning lady keyed into our room at 9:00 am without knocking and we hadn't checked out. If it would have been a couple of minutes later, I would have been naked coming from the shower. The conditioner was out and needed to be replaced. I have thick hair so I was thankful I bring additional conditioner.

Comfortable stay

No bugs, my biggest concern with hotels. The carpet next to the walls and especially in the corners was dirty in our room but everything else was clean. The bed was comfortable enough to sleep through the night. The pool was warm and the entire pool area was clean. Breakfast was standard fare. Staff was friendly. We were in the very last room of the hall so the hot water took quite awhile to start, not unexpected for location. The area was quiet with several stores and restaurants close. We didn't see other guests until the morning, but we didn't hear anything throughout the night.

We were traveling through on our way home. We take the same route many times and always enjoy our stay at Country Inn and Suites in DesMoines. The staff is always welcoming, the rooms are squeaky clean, the beds are very comfortable and the breakfast is always delicious.
