Receptionist was awesome! Worked Thursday 26th around 11am! Room was incredibly warm, air conditioning didn’t work, just circulated air, the smell of cigarettes from the workmen on site as they smoked right outside the front door was awful.

Lovely hotel in a wonderful location on Princess Street. I recommend it totally. Stayed two nights on this trip. Will not hesitate to stay here when back in Edinburgh. I believe there is another MotelOne in Edinburgh but know nothingabout it.

This hotel need to upgrade the access into the rooms, the card keys sistem , to open the door, is all old design. I have to do some acrobacy every time I need to get in to my room.

Enjoyed my stay very much. The location was excellent. Convenient to railway and trams to the airport. All of the staff were friendly and helpful. Only minor comment I have is there was only one wastebasket located in the bathroom and none in main room. Also, the fan in bathroom did not work. Will definitely stay here again.

Reception staff were very helpful. Hotel is clean and conveniently located. The room was not very large but was very well-arranged for usability and aesthetically pleasing. This was a good base of operations for our quick and busy visit to Edinburgh

Great location, good but pricey stay

We had a cool view from our room. Place was clean and bed comfy. Room was quite small for the price. No laundry facilities. Location was great. Did not try breakfast, which was extra and looked very basic. Staff were kind. Location was fabulous. To sum up: good hotel, but pricey for what you get.

It was basic room. The location of the hotel is excellent. It’s across Princes St from the train station. The room had a Queen-sized bed with a firm mattress. The room along with bathroom were clean. There was no refrigerator and no closet or drawers for clothing. There was a make-shift “closet” on the wall. This was one of the more reasonably priced hotels in Edinburgh and you get what you pay for.

Good location, that’s it.

I do not know why this hotel gets high ratings. It does have a good location, and the breakfast is nice. However, the rooms are painfully small. And really uncomfortable to stay. They look nothing like the pictures in their website. The room was good for one person, but not for two. Little or no services would not recommend.

Two stays on either side of a tour out of Edinburgh. the hotel was in a great location, and really helped me out by holding some of our bags, while we were on the tour.
