A sturdy walk but worth it for this comfortable GH

Pros: Breakfast was the best on the island I'd had in this price range (under £50 per night). Homely feel, very welcoming and informative staff. Views.
Cons: None really.
Location: Not nearby, but definitely have a gelati, there are so many shops in Funchal now, best one on the sea front. Monte. Nice town to just wander in!
Very good Guest house, located 15 mins walk up from Funchal, the last 40m on the steep side. Great views, both of Funchal from the terrace and most of the rooms. Excellent staff, very friendly and welcoming, lots of information of what to do, where to eat, how to do it, and not just for Funchal, but the entire island! Very comfortable, homely place. Very clean. Rooms more than adequate, with very comfortable bed! Breakfast was the best I'd had in Madeira, not a cooked breakfast but you didn't need it, so much choice, great breads, usual cold meats and cheese, all excellent quality, lots of fruits, cakes. Very nice seating area extending from the Reception area, with inexpensive drinks.

Mukava pieni hotelli, ystävällinen henkilökunta, hintaan (5,00 e) nähden hyvä aamiainen. Sijainti rauhallisella alueella n. 85 m merenpinnan yläpuolella, jyrkällä nousu. Vieressä pieni paikallinen baari.

Mukavan pieni hotelli, rauhallinen. Sijainti hyvä jos jaksaa kiivetä n. 85 metriin merenpinnasta. Vieressä pieni paikallinen baari.

Hotellihuoneesta oli hienot näkymät koko kaupungin yli merelle. Ystävällinen henkilökunta. Huone siivottiin joka päivä hyvin. Kelpo aamiainen. Miinuksena raskas mäki kaupungista hotellille, mutta taksikuljetus oli halpa.

Hôtel accueillant, personnel discret mais disponible et serviable même au delà de ce que l'on peut voir habituellement. Cadre agréable juste assez excentré du centre ville pour ne pas en subir les nuisances, et bien placé pour en sortir. (voie rapide à 3 minutes en voiture et centre ville à 10-15 minutes de marche). Seul bémol une litterie peut être un peu dure. Néanmoins je recommande certainement et n'hésiterai pas à y retourner si nous revenons à Madère.

hôtel simple et familial.

Pros: Le service de chambre très sympathique et les petits déjeuners
Cons: récéption... manque de coordination
Location: proche du centre de Funchal ( quelques centaines de mètres) mais incompatibles pour personnes à mobilité réduite ou malade..
Hôtel très simple mais suffisant pas de chauffage mais on nous on fourni aimablement, couvertures et un radiateur d'appoint, il faut dire que nous sommes arrivés dans une période climatiquement difficile mais exceptionnelle....très bien pour les petits déjeuners copieux, simples mais très bons !!! A l'accueil, une personne "un peu hautaine" et difficultés de gestion entre les différentes personnes de la réception !!!!! la résidence agréable n'est toutefois pas adaptée aux personnes à mobilité réduite ou malade !!! gros dénivelé... nous avons souvent pris un taxi (tarifs très raisonnables) compte tenu de la pente abrupte ! bonne résidence pour personnes en bonne santé !!!

Nice and quiet hotel

Pros: Location and peacefull feeling
Cons: Well, rooms are average.
Location: There is lot to do. Hotel is near by the city centrum and everything is close. But you need good shoes and desire to walk.
If you like to walk, this is nice place. Wiew over the city is beautiful and people and friendly and helpfull.

Ruhig nette personal

Pros: Die ruhe und landschaft
Cons: Ja in der zimmer so eine kleine hocker für die koffer
Location: Das Hotel befindet sich ganz oben an der kleine strasse travessa do pina
Es war sehr schöne ich habe viel ausflug gemacht mit Lido Tours sie waren sehr nette und punktlich Was mir sehr gut gefalen hat waren die wanderungen in die levadas das muss mann unbedingt machen Das Hotel war für mich auch gut aber hatt ein nachteil für menschen die vieleicht nicht so gut laufen Man muss hinaufsteigen aber langsamm schaft mann das. Madeira ist wunderschön das ich mir dort ein stern tattowiert hab mit eine M

Hotellin sijainti aivan täydellinen !

Hotellin johtaja todella mukava ja palveluhaluinen. Kaikki järjestyi, kun huomasi kysyä. Hotellin terassilla oli mukava istua iltaa, usein hotellin johtaja jaksoi istua mukana kertomassa Madeirasta ja erilaisista alueella olevista aktiviteeteista. Liput jalkapallopeleihin järjestyvät, ruokapaikka neuvot löytyvät ja ennen kaikkea välitön ja ystävällinen ilmapiiri välittyi keskusteluista. Varsinainen "perhehotelli", sopivan kokoinen ja henkilökunnan oppi tuntemaan hyvin. Ei sovellu liikuntarajoitteisille.

Bon rapport qualité prix

Pros: Personnel très sympathique et petit déjeuner copieux. Les conseils pour les visites et la disponibilité du réceptionniste.
Cons: Changer le canapé en osier qui est en décomposition dans le salon internet. Améliorer le réseau wifi dans les chambres.
Location: Le monte palace, le telepherique, le resto "Ã Bica", le marché des laboureurs, le vieux quartier historique avec les belles portes...
Nous avons passé 12 nuits dans cet hôtel et avons pu tester 4 chambres différentes. Nous avions réservé avec un lit double et il n'y avait plus de disponibilité. Les chambres sont correctes. Hôtel très bien situé pour prendre la voie rapide. Place de parking devant l hotel. Seul bémol : les aboiements de chiens (sur un des côtés de l hotel) en fin de soirée et en début de matinée . Prévoir des bouchons d'oreille pour pouvoir dormir tranquillement.
