The first night i slept i had a very bad allergic reaction, i was going to complain but i let it go. We arrived late to the check in the first day because we drove from michigan and we called in advance to let them know and they didn’t tell overnight shift or whoever was in charge at the time we eventually went to check in . it was very annoying because we did call in advance. But we let it go until i got a bad reaction the first night. He was having trouble finding us a clean room and the room we got was very dirty, the bed specifically but also the shower the room smelled like eggs the bathroom shower started smelling like eggs and also the ac unit started smelling like burnt. We didn’t say anything but we were very concerned. second night we got new sheets and i still got an allergic reaction. I was very overwhelmed and overstimulated about it that i had bad sleep because of it. I have a picture of how my back was but it’s not letting me post it but it was very bad. I wouldn’t recommend this hotel only for the cleanliness, the staff was nice tho.

This was the worst hotel we have ever stayed at. It was absolutely disgusting and so humid in the rooms that you constantly felt damp. The un-used towels were damp, the toilet paper and tissues were damp as well as the bed sheets. We changed rooms and it was the exact same. We also stayed with a group and all rooms had the same complaint. Mold, mildew and so dirty. The roaches on the floor

Overall was fine. Beds were comfy except I had to ask for a replacement comforter because there were stains on the one on the bed. There were some food stains on the ceiling and food crumbs in between the bed and the nightstand. We were on the side of the hotel where there was a TON of noise from traffic. Like sounded like motorcycle races which obviously the hotel can’t do anything about. Loved that it was walking distance to stores and a few fast food places. Ample parking. Breakfast was excellent. The bathroom didn’t have any exhaust fan, which I thought was odd. Hallways were hot as if the AC was off. AC unit in the room worked fine but made a lot of clicking noises and was loud turning on and off.

The hotal was very nice, and the staff was awesome. The only issue we had, was when my wife and I was packing our bags to leave, we saw what appeared to be bed bugs. We told the staff, and they took care of this immediately. If it wasn't for this issue, I would've given the property five stars on everything.

Review Title: Terrible Experience – Theft & Zero Accountability I recently stayed at the Holiday Inn Express in Jacksonville and had an awful experience. Items were stolen directly from my room, and when I tried to address it with management, I was unable to reach the manager after multiple attempts. The staff showed no urgency or concern over such a serious issue, and I’ve received no follow-up or resolution. A hotel should be a safe place where guests can trust that their belongings are secure—unfortunately, that was not the case here. The complete lack of accountability or communication from management makes this even worse. I will not be returning, and I strongly advise others to think twice before booking at this location.
