Our room was covered in dust, including the ceiling and walls. The window tracks were growing mold. The bathroom was not clean, with black around the perimeter seal of the tub. The chairs in the rooms and lobby were stained. This is unacceptable in a modern hotel and could have been easily avoided with proper cleaning and management. The staff did move us to a slightly better room, but we wouldn’t stay there again.

This was a very nice hotel, easy to find and super close to a station and places to eat. When we arrived there was an issues with the luggage forwarding and one our suitcases did not arrive but they were very helpful and comforting and let me know when my suitcase arrived. The rooms are big and they have too seperate hotels across from each other. The only downside was the food options were pretty minimal. They also helped with luggage forwarding and anything we needed

I been stay 3 hotels during my Kyoto visit this time and so far is hotel room size and location is the best. So close to dinning area and subway/bus. I would highly recommend my friend to stay there during their trip.

Staying at the annex and walking over to the restaurant in the morning aren't great. It'll be nice if the breakfast is in the same building we're staying. Breakfast is fine, but since I stayed at Onyado Nono previously, the breakfast isn't comparable. The washer/dryer took forever to dry.

Great location!

The location was great, nice and walkable area behind a Main Street. Right by a train station and with a 7-11 and Starbucks just steps away. The hotel was quaint and a mix of modern but still very traditional looking. The rooms were a good size for Japanese Standards but the bathroom was tiny!!! It was great to have a washer/dryer in the room. Everything seemed clean but the carpets were stained in the room and in some of the hallways. Overall a good choice for the price. I would stay here again. 15-20 min straight walk to Nishiki Market.

Good place to stay in central Kyoto, easy to catch trains/subway to all desired destinations. Rooms are small, but typical. Only reason it's not a 5 is the air conditioning wasn't on yet in March, so we cracked the window at night. Most indoor spaces in Kyoto and Tokyo were very hot for us. Get a fan and use it.
