Beautiful, small hotel - felt very independent and special. Such a warm welcome on arrival, all the staff were so friendly, helpful and professional. Lots of lovely thoughtful touches - complimentary tea, coffee, water, fruit, pastel de nata, cookies, in reception! Plus complimentary small bottles of port on on our last night, delivered to our room. Gorgeous room and bathroom, well maintained with nice amenities. Fantastic buffet breakfast and excellent restaurant - high standard of food. Would definitely recommend, in fact we have booked to return next week on our journey back through Lisbon!

We were delighted with the whole stay! Loved the high quality sheets on the beds - made for excellent nights sleep. Decor was beautiful with a book explaining the styles chosen based on historical times and figures available in each room. Easy walk to anything downtown. We would come again in a heartbeat!

This is by far one of the best boutique hotels we have ever stayed at. The check in is so easy and personal, the breakfast is varied and really good, the bar has everything you need and is wonderful. They even have a free walking tour run by a staff member; we had Pedro who is charming and so well versed in the Lisbon history. Our room was great too. The bathroom is big and has a great shower and the largest , softest We would love to go bak and stay there again!towels ever!

The service was amazing, the mini bar was provided at no charge and housekeeping left us two small bottles of port every night. If my wife could have brought the bed home with us she would have. Cannot say enough good about the hotel.

We felt the front desk personnel were welcoming, helpful and kind. They seemed very aware and attentive to every guest. We liked the offering of beverages and sweet treats in the reception area. The room was small yet well appointed. There was an umbrella for the rainy day. Not only was there a good blow dryer but also a flat iron for my hair. That was a win. The bed was incredibly comfortable. The windows are well insulated against street noise which was so nice.

All the staff were wonderful! A shout out to Luis and our bartender. The restaurant and bar at the hotel property were both exceptional. Our stay at Hotel da Baixa couldn’t have been better. From the front desk staff who set up so many things for us. Whether it be transportation from the airport, a private tour to Cascais and the Peña Palace, dinner reservations or transportation to the bus station they were there for us with suggestions. Pedro’s walking tour, which was complimentary with our hotel stay, was so very informative and had many suggestions for things to do. His love for his city shone through. The wait staff in the restaurant, which was one of our favourite meals, was very polite and attentive. The guys in the bar were also attentive without being pushy and we actually had a great time just talking with them. Our room was perfect. The bathroom was awesome with a huge shower and more room than in American hotels. The room itself was smaller than in America but was perfect for us. Even with all my luggage. Bed was super comfortable and we enjoyed a good nights sleep after a day of walking. If I had a complaint it would be that the pillows are too soft for our liking. But to each his own. Would highly recommend this hotel.

This hotel was so welcoming and luxurious from the moment we stepped in the door. Via the VIP offers on Expedia, we had a bottle of bubbles on ice in our room on arrival) We were lucky to be upgraded but I would be happy to stay in any room in this hotel. We had a complimentary mini bar which was great for unlimited bottles of water and other soft drinks. I think there might have been beer in there too. The bed was so comfy and the all marble shower room was delightful. From reception, to dining to housekeeping staff were just lovely and so helpful. Reception has complimentary coffee throughout the day, water, fruit and occasional pastries and cookies. The bar and restaurant areas are not large, but very stylish and welcoming. We arrived about 7pm and decided to eat at the hotel after an initial exploration. Our meals were absolutely delicious and quite reasonably priced. Alcohol looked pricier as is usual in hotels. Breakfast had everything you might want including a chef out front cooking omelettes, eggs and waffles to order. This was a really nice touch. Milk alternatives easily available. Location wise I would say this is ideal. A short stroll to the large square close to the sea and right in the middle in terms of travelling round. Easy to pop in and out throughout the day for a freshen up or to change clothes (in January it went from 20 degrees to 14 quite quickly). No rain for our visit but I noticed an umbrella & rain macs in the wardrobe. Tram stop close by.

We have just returned from a long weekend in Lisbon and cannot recommend this hotel enough. The hotel is clean, great facilities in the room, polite and helpful staff, fantastic breakfast and in a very central (yet quiet) location. We would recommend staying here to anyone looking to explore Lisbon!
