The view of the Tower was amazing! However we couldn’t find how to get to the Hotel parking with our car. Our navigation took us on the bridge twice and not down to the lower road by the hotel. We had to come up the side street to see the hotel road entrance. Loved the Hotel view and restaurant had wonderful food.

Our stay at the Tower Hotel ticked all the boxes. The location was excellent and the staff were helpful. The room met our needs and we also enjoyed the breakfasts. I would highly recommend a stay there if you want to explore the city and both banks of the River Thames. It's right next to the Tower of London and Tower Bridge and a few minutes walk from Tower Hill Underground Station, and there are plenty of opportunities and options to eat just across the river, which are easily accessed by walking across Tower Bridge.

The Tower Hotel Mishaps

There were only 2 working elevators, and for a hotel this size, that was unacceptable. However, the entire Concierge staff was extremely helpful and knowledgeable. The room had a beautiful view, but it was warm. Hotel staff said they only had the auto fans working! The door security bar was broken. The bath shampoo holder was also broken off wall. The furniture was visibly worn. The break buffet was great, but the wait staff at the hotel restaurant (VU from the Tower) was not attentive nor friendly.

Our hotel room had a gorgeous view - the Thames and Tower Bridge. The room itself was fine but the bathroom drain overflowed if you took a bath. We used all available towels to stop a flood. The elevators were very frustrating. Only one seemed to work at any given time and we had to wait for several to pass. We weren't about to walk down 7 flights. Overall it was fine but I'd stay closer to Soho as I've done in the past.

First of all, Expedia screwed up our reservation made months in advance. The hotel had no record of it. I showed them the reservation number from Expedia and shared the confirmation number, but they had no record of it on their end, so it took hours to check in. Then, we learned about the elevator situation. Only two working elevators, and I use the term working loosely here as they often went by the room when you pressed the button and wouldn’t stop. You could wait half an hour or so for one to stop. Not ideal when you’re on the seventh floor of a ten-floor hotel. No air conditioning, but it wasn’t needed. The heater was a plugged in space heater. Few plugs and only one usb port. No fridge in the room. Overall, the room was clean as was the hotel. The plumbing is terribly loud, however, so if anyone near your room uses the bathroom in the middle of the night, you’ll hear the groaning of the pipes a mile away. Very aged property, but the location is great. We would not stay there again, but the staff were wonderful and their breakfast was good.

The hotel is undergoing renovations. They didn’t tell us that. We arrived to JACKHAMMERING outside our window. We had to fly overnight to get there. We were exhausted. The next day they had planned work on the rooms across from us. They didn’t tell us this either. The doors at The Tower Hotel slam very loudly if not carefully closed. We experienced hours of very loud and very disturbing door slamming due to untold work across the hall. My husband was trying to work during this time. We were staying 8 nights and he needed to get some work in. We were patient. We didn’t say anything until the jackhammering along with constant door slamming made us leave the hotel! We encountered two “upper level” individuals discussing renovations and they asked if we needed anything so we let them know our concerns. They acted as if they cared and took our room number and nothing happened. We complained to the front desk to no avail. We also had a stay overnight in Paris. The hotel we stayed at let us know they were having facade work done but that it wouldn’t bother us. It didn’t but they let us know the second we booked so we could cancel. The Tower Hotel has a lovely view but the hotel itself is not appealing visually and offers almost no amenities unless asked and paid for buy having to upgrade expediently for your reservation. It’s a tourist trap of a hotel and I do not recommend! The concierge are amazing though! The only hope the hotel has! I can provide video of the noise we endured!

Location is the only draw to this hotel. It’s old and outdated. No USB ports to charge your electronics but they do have battery packs to rent for 1.99 per hour. Restaurant is nothing special! To offer a tomahawk steak on your menu you should be more upscale than any chain restaurant. A/C didn’t work wouldn’t go below a certain temperature so we had to keep windows open. Noise from people outside made it difficult to get any sleep. I wouldn’t recommend this place to family or friends.

Had a great stay at the tower hotel. Our room 247 had a fantastic view although it was small but very comfortable, the only thing missing was a bed side table or even a small shelf at one side of the bed. The breakfast was great everything you could want & more. Would definitely stay here again.
