As we are on the edge of elderly, we now find the giant step in and out of the shower not a particularly good option. All of the other hotels we stayed in had walk-in showers. The breakfasts were very good with a few good gluten-free options.

Fabulous hotel in the middle of everything

We stayed at Room Mate Alba for 3 nights for a quick family trip to Madrid. The hotel is beautiful and comfortable and the staff could not have been more welcoming and helpful. The hotel is perfectly centrally located within 15-20 minutes walking to the Prado, the Reina Sofia, Plaza Major and the Palacio Real, and is surrounded by a ton of great restaurants and shops. It's the perfect place to stay for a Madrid getaway and if/when we return we will definitely be staying there again!

We had a lovely stay here. The room was very clean and cosy. The bed was very comfortable. The service at the front desk was very helpful. We stayed in the attic room which gave the room even more of a cosy feel. We didn’t have the breakfast so we cannot comment on that. The only complaint we had was that the lift had a bad smell during our stay. I think the carpet needs replacing. Overall we really love the aesthetics of the room and hotel. It was in a very good location with lots of halal food options nearby — being Muslim this was great. Some lovely cafes and breakfast options within a 5 minute walk. El Retiro Parque and Royal Palace were also within walking distance, which made it really convenient.

My stay was perfect. Centrally.located, around the best tapas bars in madrid. Everywhere is walkable, and the concierge gave us great tips for dining and walking areas. Will definitely come back and stay here

Lovely property, rooms recently remodeled, lighting in the room was excellent, which I really appreciate as so many hotels have chosen to go with minimal lighting. Early check-in was available. Front desk, and multiple suggestions of where to eat and where to walk to. Breakfast variety was excellent.. Waitstaff for breakfast, however, were not attentive. overall, a lovely place. I would stay again.

Everything is good, room is clean and staff super helpful ! get a free update to a superior room, only thing is that the room was towards to the street and there is a bar downstairs, so little bit crowded , but I guess that is how dt is and how Europe’s night life is lol !
