This is a great place to stay if you don't have a lot of cash. New York - Midtown is sort of expensive so it's good for a four or five day stay. Of course the rooms are very small and there are no refrigerators in the room so it was hard to get food and put it away if you could not eat it all. On the other hand, there is a lot of restaurants and shopping in the area. It's easily walkable or Unbearable.

Great location and the staff was amazing. The updates int the lobby and common spaces are nice with the MCM designs. Inside the room, there was signs of age in the drywall and tile. Very clean and spacious. Beds were very firm, pillows were great.

It was fairly close to where I needed to be during the day/ night. Also Ess-a Bagel was right around the corner. Staff was friendly at check in. The outlets in the bathroom didn’t work- I reported it right after I checked in (it was very rainy and I wanted to dry off a bit). They were not fixed during my stay. I was “upgraded “ to a handicap accessible room that was on the 2nd floor and directly across from the elevator (zero view). No way to control the temperature of the incredibly hot room. The housekeeping staff was incredibly loud. I’ve stayed at 3 different Pods in Manhattan. This is definitely a distant 3rd on the list.
