The hotel stay was nice. The rooms were decent and clean. I just only say the service from the front desk lady a little rude also they do require a credit card for incidentals. Which I expect it. However, they just come in to tell you to slide your card. It is $50. However, it turns out to be $50 per day that they charge your card. Thanks a little ridiculous but they need to tell you that prior.

Some of the staff was very nonchalant, it was tedious just to check in. No security around when coming in the main entrance upon arrival. There was a lady upon entering the hotel who was on the phone yelling which was very uncomfortable when coming into the hotel. It was difficult navigating through the hallway to get to the room due to the carts blocking the hallway. My bedding in my room was below average, I dont know if it was fingernail polish or blood on the sheets but it wasn't pleasant. The bedding seemed to be much larger than the king size mattress. The cleaning staff were very loud in their conversations upon my arrival amd departure. After leaving a Marriott Property in Utah on tje same day and coming to Newark, it was a very big difference and one that does not reflect the Marriott Brand

The area outside the hotels is unfortunately surrounded by unhoused individuals which brings a sense of insecurity. The hotel staff and hotel property were amazing!

The staff was delightful and the room was fine. Recommendations for area restaurants were provided and staff was always welcoming. Unfortunately, the area around the hotel did not feel safe for walking by myself or in the evening.
