The first night when I checked in, I was laying on my bed and saw 3 very small bugs crawling on the bed. I squashed them on the sheet and called the front desk to have a new room around 10:00 pm. I was told there were no more rooms. I then asked for the sheets and bedding to be replaced and a credit for this night. I was told that the person on the phone was not able to do anything other than change the sheets. I asked to speak to a manager and was told there was no manager available at that time. I inquired, "what if there was a fire, there would be no manager notified of a major event at the building". I was told no and not offered any credit, no apology for the inconvenience of having to have my bedding changed late in the evening or not having any other rooms. THis individual did NOT at all provide any concern. I felt completely dismissed at this persons actions. Nor was this event relayed to any daytime manager. I received no follow up contact at all. I had no alternative that night but to stay in this room. THe gentleman who came to change the bedding did see the remnants of the bugs on the sheets and was very polite and kind. The next day I was able to make arrangements to stay with a friend in the evenings for the duration of my stay.
The front desk staff was not rude but very dismissive.
The only reason the hotel got any stars--is because the hotel itself was a nice location and there were other staff there that were kind.
