My friend and I stayed before and after a tour and both visits were very pleasant. The owner was kind, helpful and the room was delightful. I would absolutely stay again. The bus stop was just a short walk away and shops and restaurants were within a few minutes of walking. Highly recommended!!

Highly recommend. We spent our last two days in Iceland here. This is a family owned guest house with owners on site most of the day and adjacent at night. They are so nice and fun to talk to. We loved our stay in a spacious 2nd floor king size bedroom with lots of light. Rooms are on the 1st and 2nd floor with a kitchen and bathroom on each floor and then an attic lounge with another small kitchen and full bathroom. We found it easy to access and use the shared bathrooms. The attic lounge has two nice tables. Free coffee/expresso machines and a large selection of teas on each floor and the host provided free orange smoothies for breakfast that were delicious. The Host also helped us find the free (on street) parking in this busy city right adjacent to the guest house. They have beautiful bikes for touring the town, but we just left the car parked and walked everywhere. This location is about a block away from the landmark Hallgrims Church, and all of the main city down to the wharves and docks is easily walk-able. Everything was super clean and nice. Thank you. This place is adorable - clean, quaint, the staff is kind and helpful. It is the first time we have stayed at a place with shared bathrooms and we were not sure what that would be like, we envisioned something similar to a college dorm. Not at all! Each floor has its own bathroom and kitchen, it feels very home- like. The location is excellent for walking into town. Highly recommend!

Cozy and convenient in downtown Reykjavik!

Very cozy guesthouse, centrally located and excellent hosts! The guesthouse has 2 floors of private rooms, ours had two comfortable beds and enough room for our luggage. Bathrooms and kitchens on each floor, but I really enjoyed the upper floor lounge for relaxing and feeling quite at home! Nice touch with the complementary smoothie in the morning!

Comfy stay!

The room was comfortable if a bit small by American standards. I would have preferred better blackout curtains--the midnight sun was pretty bright. The location couldn't be better, up close to Hallgrimskirkja and our favorite restaurant, Cafe Loki. The hosts were friendly and the property was clean. One bathroom for five rooms....but there was always a chance the one upstairs would be free.

Nice to share….. if you want to share…..

Nice rooms and common areas. Even shared bathroom was clean and easy to use. Although shared bathroom is probably our biggest complaint. No fans for circulating air and limited windows open for air, but trade off with blackout curtains.

A great location in the heart of Rejkavik with a view of the iconic church and right next to the sculpture garden. The information provided were very helpful in finding the location and finding parking. The room was perfect for our family and well furnished. We didn't have time to cook and eat in but all the amenities were there. Breakfast is serviced in the cafe/art gallery nextdoor, though it's limited to a couple of preselected options.

Wonderful stay at the Freyja Guesthouse and Suites for my family of four. Clean and comfortable family suite with a private bathroom. There is a lovely lounge with snacks and drinks to purchase. The owners were lovely and very accommodating. Location can't be bit in the center of Reykjavik and in walking distance of all main attractions and restaurants. Would highlighly recommend.

We had an absolutely fantastic stay at Freyja Guesthouse in Iceland. From the moment we arrived, the greeting staff were incredibly kind, welcoming, and informative — they truly went above and beyond to make us feel at home and to help us get the most out of our visit. The location couldn't be better — it's within easy walking distance of many excellent restaurants, shops, and some of Reykjavik’s top sights, making it the perfect base for exploring the city. Our suite was immaculate — spotlessly clean, beautifully updated, and modern in design. It had all the comforts of home and then some. You can really tell that a lot of thought and care has gone into making the space both functional and stylish. We would not hesitate to return to Freyja Guesthouse on our next trip to Iceland, and we highly recommend it to anyone visiting Reykjavik. A truly memorable and comfortable stay!

Everything was perfect! We had a great stay, the host (Ingo) was very nice and kind, and helped me with my parking payment issue. But keep in mind that the free street parking might be limited, we were lucky to get the last parking spot at around 7:30-8:00pm. And keep in mind, the laundry is not self-service, so you may need to allow more time for the laundry company to wash and dry your clothes.

Would stay there again, with a private bathroom!

Very clean. Friendly helpful staff. Only a block from Hallgrimskirkja, the church with the huge tower. Good restaurants nearby. Easy self-parking. Nice shared kitchen. Only 2 electrical plug-ins in the whole room which was inconvenient. My wife did not like the shared bathroom, but that was my fault for booking it!

Amazing location close to the famed church in Reykjavik. We walked to the nearby cafe which was terrific offering traditional Icelandic food. The staff was super friendly and the room was able to accommodate me and my 3 children. After an overnight flight - it was great to get a good nights sleep in your hotel.
